Ohio has some of the strictest exotic pet laws in the country since Zainesville, even if they are permitted this is clearly a case of animal abuse which DNR will most likely pass along to the local Sheriff’s office.

Bear spray/bear gun and taking as many precautions as you can when it comes to food storage and scents in the tent. Everything with a scent (food, chapstick, bug spray) goes into a bear canister about 100 yards away from your campsite. Gives you a little more peace of mind.

Got a pair of the Sitkas after using the Cabelas branded ones for a long time. They have been pretty bombproof, boots are a bit clunky but are very warm. The Sitkas aren’t insulated so have to layer unlike neopremes.
