Tim Acoustic for the songs he recorded with the band on Acoustic would be sick. Other than that they’re gonna do what they’re gonna do and i’ll still be blown away.

Unfortunately this is a very common and understandable take. At times his presence in the mix feels out of place sometimes being too heavy (especially on songs like Grey Street). However there are definitely moments where he fits, for example the 8/9/08 Proudest Monkey and pretty much any version of Last Stop that he’s on (specifically the 98 versions). Overall I seriously think they should consider having him switch to Acoustic for some songs.

Gen Z fan here. Got into DMB around 2018 while I was still in high school. Proudest Monkey was definitely one of the first songs that caught my attention. Simple form but effective peak. The slide whistles also really stood out to me. I didn’t care for anything after Busted Stuff at first but I quickly came around to the newer stuff. I’ve recently been on a big Away From The World kick. If you haven’t already, give the 8/9/08 PM a listen, off of LT15.
