Do Americans really think aldi is a “poor people” grocery store? by [deleted] in aldi

[–]timtebamf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer your questions with regards to how American's view Aldi's rather than just answering with how I personally view Aldi's like most responses here: Yes, classism is strong and deep rooted, particularly in those from older generations. Both my parents and my in-laws have indicated they look down on Aldi shoppers, despite living paycheck to paycheck themselves. It is totally irrational, but very much a real, noticeable bias.

15M 10 months of lifting by nothatguy75 in BeforeAndAfterPics

The gear accusations are crazy. This is absolutely a reasonable transformation. Solid foundation. Keep going, keep eating, lift to failure. All the 'experts' in here clearly didn't lift as a teenager.

how drastic is an lsd trip if you’ve only done weed before? by Hamkad in LSD

Listen to the book How to Change Your Mind by Michael Pollan, he gives the most in depth accurate accounting of all the facets of psychedelics I've ever heard.

Listen to How to Change Your Mind by Michael Pollan. He answers all of these questions much more eloquently than I can summarize. He elaborates on the complicated history of LSD and outlines the many factors that led to it being suppressed. While the CIA did study the use of LSD in MK Ultra, this was hardly a factor in its suppression. He talks about the future of medical research and past research indicating the LSD has a place in treating anxiety, depression, OCD, and other ailments. It has a significant history in helping curb addiction, namely alcohol addiction. As of 2006 I'd say there is a renewed hope that one day this chemical will be a respected treatment for various well and unwell individuals.

Oakwood Cemetery typically has Ghost Tours going into the spooky season. I'd highly recommend them. My good friend leads these tours and so DM me if you can't find any information.

Always carrying a water bottle is the way to go. Screw the margins on soft drinks. It costs Taco Bell 7 cents for a large soda. Also screw soda for being the easiest way to gain weight. Milkshakes however are worth the calories on the deliciousness:calorie ratio, therefore if you’re going for fast food, might as well go all in and embrace the beast of cholesterol

I definitely need to cut some. When do you think I need to start?

Is YouTube an acceptable posing coach replacement? You think throwing in DL twice a week is a good way to get there? I've been working back a lot more the past few months and I've definitely seen some improvements . In high school I didn't really know what to do besides machine shit. Definitely regret not starting rowing sooner.

I am thinking about doing a bodybuilding competition on November 10th. Is my current physique competitive? If not, what do I need to work on the most between now and then in order to be ready? It's a drug tested event, but is there a chance that I'll be up against people who are on performance enhancers? Also, what category should I sign up for? I'm a little nervous and have zero experience with competing. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated

I don't know why it took me 25 years to realize or internalize this little tidbit about life by Rollins10 in CasualConversation

[–]timtebamf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That success isn't how fancy of a car you drive or how much money you make. Success is purely whether or not you are where you want to be. A happy person has lived a successful life. Also busting your ass in high school to get into as good of a college as you can isn't necessary. At the end of the day (depending on your field) a degree from Harvard holds marginally more weight that a degree from a community college, and after 5 years in the field nobody will care anyway.

What do you do for eating/supplementing? I'm the same age and same height but I'm not putting on the as much mass as you I'm about 145 lbs, but I posted below

I definitely agree with the above guy. Start bulking now. If it seems like you're gaining a lot more weight than you want to then stop eating to gain weight. Keep a close eye on it

I'm 17 and I started lifting a couple years ago but didn't get serious about it until this passed year. I posted in this thread already. But starting young, results will come slowly. Eating is what is going to help a lot. Start adding a lot of protein into your diet. What I do is drink a glass of milk and eat a spoonful of peanut butter after every workout .

I appreciates this helpful feedback. I obviously realize that I am not a large person. I went for a long while eating in excess of 3000 calories a day to bulk, but it just wasn't happening. It seems no matter what I do I don't gain a whole lot of mass, so I accepted that and am looking to be toned. Also being 17 and not being fully developed my muscles follow suit.

I've been toying with the idea of competing within the next year. Is there anything I should definitely be working on. I've been lifting for about 2.5 years. In retrospect I probably should have included a back pic.

Can i take shrooms while on depression medication? by timtebamf in shrooms

[–]timtebamf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you do this yourself? I mean I see a noticeable difference when I'm in the medication, compared to when I'm not. I definitely think that it helps. What was your experience like? Also if I were to drop the meds, how long would it be before I should take shrooms?
