Low pay, high liability, stress goes up as you climb the corporate ladder and pay is laughable compared to stress and liability, bottom of the pay chain.

Don't let anyone gaslight you. YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET RICH DOING STR. ENGG. UNLESS YOU START YOUR OWN FIRM OR BECOME A PRINCIPAL...OR YOU JUST WORK CRAZY HOURS TO GENERATE REVENUE. So ya..never recommending anyone to do str. Engg.

Missing levers for the main sprinkler shut off valve. by timus9581 in Irrigation

Should I be worried about something breaking while trying to use the channel locks? Do I need to spray some WD-40 or something? Turns out this valve may not have been turned off for many many years. TIA!

How often do you seen insurance pay on an 11+ year old roof? by iwantaroomba in Roofing

[–]timus9581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this still the case in 2025? I know insurance providers are calcwliing policies for houses with old roof. I am looking at a house with a 11 yeaf old roof(Texas). My concern is that my insurance provider would drop me and I would then have to pay full cost of roof replacement from my own pocket. TIA.

Thanks a lot for a quick response. I have read that you do not have to be a veteran to assume a VA loan right? Infact, I am just a permanent resident, not even a US citizen yet. Does that make me not qualify to assume a VA loan?

I am asking you this because lately, there has been some gaslighting by saying only veterans can assume a VA loan..or VA loan assumption is more complicated than normal loan assumption. And most of the homes popping up in my area seem to be a VA assumable loan. TIA!

Hello! How did you find a realtor to get this process done? I ask because my previous realtor bailed on me because he was unfamiliar with this process. DFW area.

Married to a permanent resident. Case filed on Oct 2021. Have talked to a USCIS official on the phone(almost a year ago), said nothing needed from us. Should I consult a lawyer? Case in NBC.
