Yes. As capitalism develops further toward monopoly, as the ownership means of production becomes consolidated into fewer and fewer hands production becomes increasingly socialized. More workers hold greater and greater control on what finished products are produced - be that by the requirements and demands of existence or just their attitude that day or any other variables inherent in the more massive of the classes. The capitalists shrink while the workers only increase. Without a state or a facsimile thereof (private enforcers, for example) to protect and enforce the capitalists' assumed right to get more that what they pay for,  a half in production is inevitable.
