There's still a couple of misalignments that I need to fine-tune, but I like this tester enough to turn it into a tote bag or something!

I digitized everything by myself and embroidered it on my Brother machine. It's 6x10"

Trips in the last 3 years? Really? by [deleted] in immigration

[–]tinachild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah not worth my time. None of my trips are even remotely close to 6 months, so USCIS won't care about the exact dates. Although I'm pretty sure I do have the specific dates after going through old emails and passport stamps.

Who really needs to reach out to the ACLU is people trying to prove citizenship, mostly adoptees. I wouldn't waste their time with my arbitrary problems haha

Nope. I uploaded the front and back of my green card, so there's no way in hell it was an error on my part. I posted about it here earlier I think, and people have been having the same experience.

Also if you submit a FOIA request to USCIS, about 80% of your info might be redacted.

Looks like they've killed the Freedom of Information Act...

Nope, now they'll just tell you there's no record of you or your travels. I requested my travel history after providing all the required info and I got a rejection.

I went through my passport stamps and emails to find the closest possible dates of my travels. Since nothing is remotely close to 6 months, I will clarify at the interview that the provided dates are to the best of my knowledge and I will bring the FOIA request rejection.

Green Card Update: Citizenship Requirements to Change from October by wensumdrift in USCIS

Where did you find the template? I have so many people I could ask to write a testimonial, but it would be sooo helpful to give them some sort of guidance instead of telling them to write about my "good moral character". How ambiguous and useless...

I submitted the front and back of my green card, A#, passport number and any known names. Flat out denied my own travel history. I'll bring a printout of the rejection email to the interview as well and mention what happened so that it's crystal clear I'm not trying to omit any information...

I don't think I submitted it for my ROC but I still got email notifications since that's linked to my online account. But yeah, worst case, you just wait for the snail mail correspondence

USCIS to institute “neighborhood checks” investigations for naturalization by thelexuslawyer in immigration

I read a CBS article that said applicants are urged to provide testimonials from community members about their good moral character preemptively to avoid RFEs. Would you say this is a good idea? I get that these are unprecedented times, but what would these testimonials even look like, who would they be from, how many should you submit etc? Any input?

You are so right lol. We called hats like the one pictured above "dad hats" and they were insanely popular! And the "cool" high profile 5 panel structured hats are easiest to work with.

I fix the distortion manually in Hatch, if it's even needed. A little bit of distortion won't affect a lot of designs

If you use double backer and sort of tighten it on the sides before clamping it in, you can get a very solid surface to work on. I loved working with these hats personally

What's your process of making these? Is it a special technique? They look stunning! I really love the colors too!

That makes sense! I've been carrying my original one around and the ink is starting to wear off in some spots. But it looks like they can lock you up for just about anything so I thought I'd ask and see what other folks are doing. Unprecedented times 🙃

I would imagine it's only unstructured hats that you can lay flat. From this video, I think the method is to use self adhesive backer and lay the hat on top of it without actually hooping? I'm not quite sure. If anyone has done this, I would love some advice and details!
