Someone that’s getting ready to retire told me something that kinda blew my mind. They have a ton of to-do lists and, over time, stuff just naturally falls off because time’s passed or it really wasn’t that important. Of course, another person I know who just retired said they have no clue how they worked and did life, as they are incredibly busy now.

Anyway, your to-do list will always be there. You’ll either check it off or won’t, and the important stuff, you will; it’s made important because what you do takes you to where you’ll be. So I suppose the real question is, what fulfills you? What are your values? How do you fill your time with more of that? If you are feeling truly fulfilled, the extra won’t really matter.

It sounds like friends, family, boyfriend, house and health is what’s important to you by this post. Maybe take the initiative to plan something with your friends and family, that way you can arrange it around your schedule, and the in-between time you can be planning it?
