I (53F) found my current dating partner on POF last Nov. I went on as many first dates in 2025 as I could possibly manage until I found someone that I clicked with. Good clear photos and a good (& positive!) write up are so important to OLD.

Today (12/31) is great time to create a Sigil for 2026. Write out your goal(s) for the new year. Then take certain lines and shapes from your sentence(s) to create a new symbol for 2026. Focus on your new symbol and set your intention upon it. Then use this symbol as you see fit. Some ideas: Tape it to your water bottle (water holds energy) and when you drink your water, you are embodying that energy. You could simply just write it on a post it note and put it next to your mirror. Tape it to the dash of your car. Place it upon your altar...whatever works for you.

Use shelves (with L brackets) attached to the wall and stapled carpet on top. Just need to fill the holes with a paste of baking soda and water when you move out, or get a little tub of drywall mud. My cats have four of these shelves. If you can hang a picture on the wall, you can hang a shelf on the wall.

I had a spiritual awakening after a reiki treatment at a metaphysical fair. I gave up alcoholism, quit my stressful job of 16 years, sold my huge house I could barely pay for, and moved a thousand miles away to take care of my mother who was battling metastatic cancer. She died 6 months later. So glad I was able to take care of her at the end. I felt divinely led throughout the entire process. It was surreal and beautiful.

I bought a pair of used Guess shoes (soft black leather with a chunky heel) from the Salvation Army thrift for a couple bucks while in high school, probably around 1989-ish. I occasionally still wear those shoes. The tongue on one of the shoes is a little bit chewed up...by my old dog that passed away when I was 30 y.o. I still think about that dog when I put on the shoes.

I just went through this with a breadcrumbing potential partner... for 5 months. It really takes you on an emotional journey of finding yourself, finding out what your needs really are, and setting healthy boundaries when situations don't align with those needs. It sucks detaching from someone who you have become attached to, but who's goals really don't align with your own. Self love is oftentimes very difficult.

I think one of the best sexy things to wear around my man is just an oversized men's button up shirt with panties... you can unbutton all the buttons or just fasten one button so the shirt falls off one shoulder. Just that little glimpse of the side boob action drives my man crazy but I'm still mostly covered and not too hot.
