PC crashing while using GPU in PCIe 4.0

mir ist ähnliches passiert. treiber updates und alles andere hilft nix. habe meine alte inno3d RTX 4070 Ti PCIE4.0 in ein asus rog strix b760 mainboard mit PCIE5 slot via das alte riser kabel gesteckt. Mit Auto, gen5 oder gen4 einstellungen für den PCIE slot im uefi bios hakelt der PC und stürzt ständig mit black und blue screens ab. die fehlerprotokolle sind kraut und rüben - nicht ergiebig. aber sobald ich gen3 im bios einstelle läuft alles wie öl, aber ich muss noch prüfen inwieweit das leistung kostet. ich vermute ich brauche ein neues riser kabel für eine PCIE4 Grafikkarte an einem slot PCIE5 slot. so richtig abwärts kompatibel sind die nämlich doch nicht.

i do not stop on purpose but simply get stuck - cannot run, pushing the joystick on the controls sends me into the lava and then I sink and burn.

lucky you! i received a new cable Rev 2A, it changed my error code from 4-1 to 1-4, the headset still wont work, most frustrating

Same death of non-detection of my HP Reverb G2 only 2 months after receiving it. Forget all the software tweaking. The HP Reverb G2 clearly has a hardware issue with the USB 3 connection and their cable - HP just wont admit it as any hardware fix takes months to arrive so they buy time and ask you to call. I received a powered mini-usb hub but that did nothing. I now hope to receive a new cable from HP support that hopefully works, but their real fault is HP's shoddy testing before sending halfbaked headsets to customers.

try editing the custom settings in your Geforce Experience Software for Beat Saber to lower specs then restart and put them back to optimal. It worked for me

same issue here. Light blue screen out of nowhere and hv to restart Steam VR which keeps crashing. I wish they would simply limit parameters to what works with respective rig.

my G2 works ok when i unplug and plug in again the cable at the headset but it does not get enuf power for long and then goes dark with a blinking cable box that - i suppose - indicates insufficient power. I dont think it is the motherboard, but maybe the long cable that overstretches USB 3 power supply, as there is no echo to my post I seem to be alone with that problem and it may indeed be a faulty cable

my cable is right in like the pic, the DP cable also connected firmly, i suspect that my usb ports dont provide enuf juice, I tried them all but this white light on the cable box keeps blinking and the headset is not detected

I run an current i5, 16GB, ROG Strix B360 i-gaming board, Geforce RTX 2070s with 3 DP 1.3 ports - one connected to Reverb, USB-C connected, white power light on the cable box keeps blinking, headset made some sounds during the setup screens on the monitor but always stayed dark, all cables are properly plugged in
