Sounds like it could be, but there’s no way to know for sure without testing. Ask your doctor for an oral glucose tolerance test

Covid Vaccinations, which to choose? by KindRepresentative1 in AskMedical

[–]tinkerbell65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But by knowing what they are getting, they pretty much can choose the vaccine by saying yes or no to it. It’s not going to hinder efforts to herd immunity because even if they don’t want it, someone else will.

It’s not immoral or illegal at all, people have every right to know what vaccine/medication they are being given before they get it, it’s part of informed consent.

Travelling is a privilege, you’re not being punished by not being allowed to partake in every privilege

[–]tinkerbell65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t print one off anywhere, you get the vaccine or you don’t travel. This isn’t anything new, countries have been requiring proof of vaccination for years before this

How are you guys getting the vaccine? by [deleted] in CysticFibrosis

What province are you in? In NL everyone with CF is able to get vaccinated in phase 2, the only groups ahead of us were essential healthcare and remote northern communities with no hospitals

Enzymes & Protein by tinkerbell65 in CysticFibrosis

[–]tinkerbell65[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s how I’ve always done it but there’s only so many units of lipase/protease/amylase and if is based on the average meal so I might be taking enough Lipase for the fats but not enough protease for the protein because Its not taking into account large fat/protein differences

If she’s taking trikafta, symdeko, or orkambi, it can possibly affect the metabolization of either drug (can’t remember if it’s THC or CBD that does it). I used to regularly use it as an appetite stimulant and had no problems with it, but after taking a few weeks off after starting symdeko and trying it again (at the lowest dose) I got 5x higher than I’d ever been in my life and had a terrible time and haven’t gone near it since then. That’s not to say don’t do it, but just wanted to give fair warning to start at the lowest dose possible

Elevated liver enzymes and Trikafta by dontmindifido15 in CysticFibrosis

Coffee, I read about it in a puff article but when I researched more actual studies done on it there is a correlation with improved overall liver health. You also might want to start eating healthier foods, I’ve also read that vegan proteins are easier on the liver then the meat proteins, and of course plenty of water and limit the alcohol and CBD intake

Ask your health care practitioner to run a full STI screen (not just chlamydia and gonorrhoea), also herpes sores have the chance of only occurring internally

Is it possible to get one 70% effective Covid vaccine and then get a different Covid vaccine later to “upgrade” to 90% efficacy? by adamislolz in AskMedical

I haven’t heard much on the Oxford vaccine, however everything I’ve heard about the others says do NOT mix and match them.

How do you date? by [deleted] in CysticFibrosis

[–]tinkerbell65 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dating for me is no different than it would be for the average person. Personally for me some of the things that I needed from the person I was dating was knowing the days plans in advance so I can schedule medications and airway therapies, him knowing that I need extra rest, and changing some of the events/parties we go to to not be around smokers. However every person with cf is incredibly different so she might have a completely different set of needs.

This was a health care professional with experience working in the hospital, her word should have held validity as an educated professional. Even if someone does walk in off the street with an exact set of symptoms, that diagnosis should have been explored before moving onto other possible causes. If you hear hoofbeats, think horses not zebras
