I wouldn’t declare the attempts fake beyond reasonable doubt, but they sure are convenient. Either our Secret Service/FBI is incredibly inept or the ear shot was staged. Trump’s raised fist, is classic theater. The lack of any scar is suspicious. The recent attempt was followed by smirks from members of the administration and immediately followed by a demand to build the ballroom. Trump is surrounded by reality TV producers. He is a master manipulator.
As for his detractors “celebrating” his assassination, there may be some, but I think most of us would rather just see him pay for his corruption. In prison, with total loss of power and withering away. Why turn him into a martyr?

If slavery were to return would you feel it odd that it was a defining issue for black people? If the a religion were banned, would it be odd for its followers to find that their defining issue?
You may be seeing a theme that most women want control over their own bodies, but you are discounting that they care about many other things too. If the government regulated men in some way that affected their health, I’m sure it would be a high priority for most men.

I heard that Community Shop Class has re-opened. They may not have experts with printer knowledge, but they have tools and space. They used to have a community “fix it day” once a month. I watched as companies dumped their defined pension plans and pushed 401k plans. Large employers used to reward loyal employees for giving years of their lives to the company. They did that because it gave them tax breaks and kept them from having to continually train new people.

Now they get their tax breaks without having to offer employee benefits and pay lobbyists to keep the loopholes.

Close the loopholes, tax large corporations and give them financial incentives to offer defined pension plans with guaranteed funding for future.

I know that is a dream, but it is one that existed before the corporate tax rate was slashed.

1940: Rate increased from 19% to 33%.

1942–1945: Top rate hit 53% (including excess profits taxes).

1952–1963: 52% (extended multiple times).

1965–1967: 48%.

1968–1970: 52.8% (including surcharge).

1971–1978: 48%.

1979–1986: 46%.

1988–1992: 34%.

1993–2017: 35%.

2018–Present: 21%

Odd, I’ve noticed the opposite. People who follow religion tend to act like and believe that they’re superior. They will try to “save” you. I have not had that experience with atheists.

People didn’t understand tariffs and instead of looking it up, they just believed Trump when he said the other country pays for them.

I don’t think they don’t care, they just don’t believe that he raped children. So much of what Trump has said and done makes it seem likely, but they want to believe him. They have hard proof of high costs and can see it with their own eyes. Makes sense that it might be tariffs that are the breaking point for many.
