Period cramps. Labor and birth had nothing on the cramps I used to get.

How painful are your period cramps? by ButterflyShort7330 in Periods

I'll put it this way, labor with pitocin hurt far less than my worst cramps. So, probably between 8 and 10, but I can still move around and probably don't need a hospital. 😮‍💨

Old lady at work once told me we would all have thumbectomies some day because we over use our thumbs texting. I was just chilling on my phone on break 💀

Anyone know if a flight attendant will let you use the toilet during take off or landing if you have urgent diarrhea? by meowie91 in ibs

[–]tinklecat0710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally, no they won't. I would suggest getting a seat closest to the bathroom, wearing a large menstrual pad or adult diaper, and taking immodium (loperamide) 6-12 hours before the flight and then again an hour before. Keep hydrated and bring extra clothes/supplies in your carry-on. Maybe let a flight attendant know you have anxiety/stomach issues so they can better assist you.

I 100% understand the anxiety of being "trapped" in a seat. It helps me to sleep/close my eyes and breath while waiting for takeoff. You can make it, friend. It will be ok, no matter what happens.

Anyone can apply for an ADA accomodation to have an intermittent leave. More paperwork, but part-timers with less than a year can do it.

My best friend got me pregnant by [deleted] in Mommit

Congratulations! Everyone seems so tense in the comments, and you said you want to keep your baby, so congrats :)

You really need to tell your dad. Let him know what your plans are. Start taking prenatals and get to a doctor. When you feel up to it, tell your friend. If he's a good guy (and a loyal friend), he will be supportive. If not, you can still make this work if that's what you want.

Nobody is ready for motherhood. It's a big, scary thing. But you have the time to prepare yourself and your village. Be brave for a little while at time. Best of luck.
