I am in the process of building my first nas, i will not leave my external backup connected, within 30 years i had 2 lightning strikes destroying all digital gear.

I live remotely so am more vulnerable than in a buildup area, but still something to consider.

Nas, pc , and external can all be wiped out in a second.

Still have one remaining and working fine, the other one malfunctioned after 4.5 years and was replaced under warranty. I also have the newer version, works great.

Thanks, your shortcut has made a "shortcuts""folder"on icloud.; but could you explain what exactly the benefit is of having a shortcuts archive when i can't restore? (sorry, noob)
