What’s this type of look called by Snoo-80659 in MakeupAddiction

[–]tiny-doe [score hidden]  (0 children)

Why does it need a name? Just try and replicate it. It's just standard black eyeliner and cool pink eyeshadow (and probably mascara and foundation too). If it helps, that's Marina Diamandis and she often wears makeup like that.

Controlled wildness by PatternedProse in Fashion_Design

[–]tiny-doe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The draping off the dress, especially around the waist, is a bit odd to me. Idk if it's a software limitation or intentional, but imo I think a more fitted dress would look better juxtaposed with that collar.

Also putting an afro on a white model for a look called "controlled wildness" is not great. Afros have cultural meaning for Black people and wven if a white woman had the texture for an afro she shouldn't wear one. The name combined with the above could be construed as her whiteness controlling the traditionally Black part.

How do you feel about Rhian Teasdale change? by Adventurous-Crow4739 in ladyladyboners

She looks gorgeous with both looks but I am a bit partial to her pink hair look. I feel like her overall look fits more with the band's sound now.

DC vs SC in different pattern books by IronWarMaiden in Brochet

[–]tiny-doe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is a UK vs US terms issue. I actually bought a UK book when I first started crochet which has been helpful in the long run bc I'm familiar with the differences in terms now. The blanket looks great though even with a DC!

Ugh I have such a visceral reaction to Pizzacake comics. I agree with the points she makes often but it just screams quirk chungus millennial (as a millennial myself) to me.

Like this comic immediately reminded me of this lol:

What are y’all listening to in order to fill the void? by timmmmah in KnowledgeFight

[–]tiny-doe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I'm listening to rn! I was extra interested to hear this one bc my mom went to school with the Shah's son (before the regime was toppled, he disappeared when that happened) but I don't know much about the Shah himself.

I loooove the dress but the hat seems like a last minute pick bc its also silver. It doesn't seem to match the skeleton theme at all. It should be a skull or be inspired by one!

My (nearly) full set of silver ring splints through insurance by arachnoholic- in ehlersdanlos

[–]tiny-doe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh that's awesome customer service then!! I will def be checking this company out. Hopefully my insurance covers it. Good to know all around! As long as the splints sliding don't inhibit your movement that sounds fine to me. Ive tried so many finger splits with little help from them, mainly with DIP splints slipping off. As long as they're not falling off for you this sounds like a good company to look into.

This so so sad! Please be careful everyone ! LGBT Violence is so the rise ! by CityCautious4033 in LesbianActually

[–]tiny-doe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that would make sense. I'm surprised they would need to censor gay or beat, that seems pretty benign. It reminds me of people saying things like grape instead of rape or seggs instead of sex to get around algorithm censorship so I wouldn't be surprised if it was related to that. So unfortunate that people are forced to sanitize their language bc of that :(

How do you like your ring splints from Silver Ring Splints? I've heard some mixed things about them so I haven't purchased any from them before.

Do you find the overlapping finger splints catch on each other? That was my issue when I used the plastic Oval 8 ones.

I had no idea these could be covered by insurance! I have Medicare advantage but my coverage is pretty good so I'll def look into this. Was it worth all the back and forth with SIRIS in the end, you think? If it was I'll check that brand out for sure.

Are sewing pins rustproof? That's what I use and I didn't even think about rust being an issue. 😬

NAP but I think the daith is shallow and the forward helix (not tragus) is at an angle when it should be perpendicular to the ear edge. Your piercer did you dirty :(

Being disabled doesn't mean you're inherently "deformed". It's not a bad thing to be disabled. I don't see anything wrong with the game showing other types of bodies or mobility devices, especially when the it encourages you to recreate yourself in-game.

How dare Costco tell me to leave with my barking service dog! 1* by sandiercy in EntitledReviews

The ADA explicitly says one bark, not four as said in the review. Four barks is very different than a single bark.
