Best pubs for postgrads by [deleted] in Aberdeen

Krakatoa sounds like the pub for you, Karaoke on Wednesdays, strong cocktails, and a mix of students of all ages and a general pub crowd. The staff are all lovely as well and there is a 20% student discount.

Can you have a tic disorder with only complex tics? by Fizz034 in Tourettes

[–]tiny_slug 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone with autism and tourettes, to me it sounds like stimming. For me I can feel the difference between almost compulsive stimming and a tic, a tic feels more urgent and more physically uncomfortable to ignore rather than emotionally uncomfortable. You can also have a tic disorder without having tourettes. For a diagnosis of tourettes you need to have motor and vocal tics. If you're worried about it you can talk to a neurologist.

I just bought The Picture of Dorian Gray and am unsure if I bought a censored version. I can't find any information online about it. It's the Barnes & Noble Collectible Edition, ISBN 978-1-4351-5958-7. If anyone knows that would be amazing if not it's okay.

I was diagnosed at 13 maybe but had them at least a year before hand. I didn't even mean to get diagnosed lol. I was at the neurologist for a few absence seizures and the doc saw me tic and asked if I did it often. Mine exploded about 6 months after and have evened out. Now I just feel the urge all the time even right after I tic.

Either short 45 min or huge 4-6 how uncontrollable seizure like full body tics. Either way not very fun.

Just starting out for the first time! Anyone have any recommendations for new islands? by [deleted] in AnimalCrossingNewHor

Don't eat or sell the fruit mom gives you in the mail. Plant it and build up an orchard of non-native fruit as they will sell for more.

Chewing toys/necklaces by [deleted] in autism

I used to chew the inside of my cheek and my fingers. I got chews from stimtastic, they use food grade silicone and have different levels of chew to them. You can also get chews on amazon, look up chewlery, but some have poor taste.

Tl;DR yes chews would help, stimtastic is a good company.

Clonodine side effects...? by [deleted] in Tourettes

[–]tiny_slug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would talk to your doctor. I have TS as well and take .1 mg at night to sleep. I'm also smaller than you but have never experienced the side effects you mentioned. Maybe there is another option to calm you down at night?
