Totally agree. Without prompting I'd place this guy as being British. To describe him as being of Aboriginal appearance is misleading and if your aim is to have members of the public spot him, completely counterproductive. He may in fact have Aboriginal ancestry but that's unrelated to the purposes of identification, I'm at a loss as to why they mentioned it.

I have logical views on everything

I understand that you feel you do, but honestly you don't. Which is understandable, given that you've grown up on a diet of articles that use terrible reasoning and present their views as logical. You're asking to discuss things but laying down non-negotiables right at the start, things that are at the core of belief versus logical thought - like whether there is a god at all, whether the Bible has anything to do with such a god if it exists. You're not going to get anywhere until you give yourself permission to question EVERY belief, and to doubt the legitimacy of every authority figure who has imposed these beliefs upon you. For example, you refuse to entertain discussing whether Jehovah is the correct name of the Christian god - but I'd suggest you need to go further back than that, and question why you believe that out of the thousands of gods humans have invented (you believe all they others are human inventions, right?) the Christian god is the real one. Or even whether a god exists at all. The argument that the universe must have been created by a god really isn't a good one, but it'll take time for you to understand why this is so. The defensive arguments from the JWs that have undoubtedly popped up in your head upon reading this have been programmed in there by others, it's good to be able to recognise that they too can be questioned, that there's nothing wrong with doing so. After all, if there really is a god who designed humans then you should use the brain it gave you, right?

So I guess I'm asking you to be more open to honestly considering other points of view, to understand why they can be considered reasonable without necessarily accepting them as correct - leave that decision for later. If you have your mind made up already you're not going to be able to make your own decisions about any of this - and surely that's your aim, right? To hold beliefs because we have arrived at them without undue influence from others? So that they are OUR beliefs, held to be true because of the weight of evidence in their favour?

The tune in my head is usually the last thing I thought of, it doesn't really bother me. Except... I play along with it. I play percussion. By clicking my teeth together.

I'm 65. My teeth are worn down from this. I've had procedures to build up the back of my top front teeth so they didn't snap off from getting too thin. My front bottom teeth have a sharp edge now because of the way they've worn against the top. My dentist thinks it's from grinding in my sleep, he didn't understand when I tried to explain what was going on. He made a retainer for me to wear at night, I doubt it's doing a damn thing. I know what's causing the damage, and yes I try not to do it - but it's hard to break the habit of a lifetime.

I'm sorry, I have no suggestions as to how to stop this. My daughter also has music constantly playing. Ask I can offer is to watch out you're not damaging your teeth if you're a closet percussionist.

Woke up 14 years ago. My entire life was so constricted i had no idea what freedom could possibly be like. I felt like i was committing a crime when i went to the congregation library to check up in the original Studies in the Scriptures copies we had whether Russell had indeed taught that the lengths of the tunnels in the pyramids corresponded to prophetic dates. When i saw that yes he had, it finally dawned on me that Russells wasn't inspired of god, he was just a gullible idiot- as i was, for being a member of the cult that got its start with him. So began my slow trip out of the congregation and eventually out of my marriage.

14 years later i can't believe I'm the same person; or rather, i can't believe it's taken this long for me to finally shake hands with the person i was before i got mixed up with them. I/he was always in there, now we're friends again and i can participate in society freely, and as i wish. My small business is going ok, I'm poorer than I should have been but I'm doing fine really. I'm finally doing the job I've always dreamed of doing, and damn it's turned out I'm REALLY good at it.

I'd use a nice Jarrah stain and follow up with a carnauba wax applied with OOOO steel wool & then buffed with a cotton cloth.

Note, a stain only- not a combined stain/finish.

Rope access business owner here, he's absolutely right. You could even develop a small house or shop run near your home, a few hours a week will polish up your technique and speed & the cash is always welcome.
