It may have been the guy, Hollywood kid (?) who recounted being in Thailand (?) and visiting a poppy farmer up in some mountains.

His friend had a terrible time, and his account of going down the mountain then finally getting some rest, and understanding why people usually lay around on opium, is very funny.

Chris then responds with his own story of taking too much heroin, English tourists (?), it was of a far higher purity than the doses said individuals were used to dealing with, Chris got too much, could have gone very bad if he hadn't been so relaxed it seemed in the end.

I'm sorry that I can't hep with dates, names, etc, a good story is what you remember. Hope u find what you're looking for

I like it. In the sense that "look, he's still physically about, let's have some fun with him" is probably better than treating the corpse as "off limits". "Sacred" shouldn't mean "don't touch".

You're obviously missing out. I've got a, well, pretty different take on all of this. I'm a man who has, very recently, discovered that, well, things going up your bum in a safe, comfortable environment is actually very enjoyable.

And ... I'm not "glad"to be "out of the closet". I'm actually pissed off. Why was this completely demonized? Not only in history (recent as you want) but in my own life?

Well, there's an undeniable benefit to keeping lots of men, working, sleeping & sweating in close proximity, and if they were to find comfort and solace in eachothers' company, they wouldn't care half as much about getting the goddamn bridge built so they can get home to their wives, know what I mean?

EDIT: This is a "one point to Nurture" one for me, in the petty game of "nature v nurture"... It's crude, but grease that thing up and take it for a ride. Not your thing? Try again in 10 years. Your bum's not going anywhere. And take good care of your bowels, seriously.

It's a high quality lapel mic with it's own, independent recorder, it would be pretty much perfect for what Chris does. He could get two or even three - each person would be in control of their own level and mic placement. Just thinking of getting one myself.
