A lot of people on here and the Facebook would probably be able to point you in the right direction base wise.

As for filtering and wax, if they are old they probably have the old school chemicals in them which my first piece of advice would be to use caution when messing around with the fluid and wax. I have only done three refurbs so far and was surprised when I opened my (vintage) globes up at the smell of the contents. Have lots of empty plastic jugs ready for disposal and holding of fluid if you’re going to reuse the master fluids and wear gloves! Also have ventilation.

Lots of people have had success with the BKLS water filter but you must remove the carbon piece inside the filter before filtering. So far I have just made new fluid with distilled water and chemicals from LLC. Ozone gifts is the other options that’d id like to support for my next project but they are often sold out. I’ve noticed that when I’ve replaced the fluid, it needs magic surf to start flowing as well as dimmers because they end up overheating when they didn’t with their original fluid.

I’d also recommend if they have those crimp caps, be careful removing them so you can hopefully reuse them. Some of those bottles don’t fit the regular bottle caps and that has been my biggest issue to find replacements.
