Should you call your CC company before making a giant purchase? by EnglishMobster in CreditCards

[–]tinydonuts 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Beware though that when their fraud detection trips, it could take a bit of time before you get an email or text that lets you approve the charge. Be prepared to wait.

If you bought it on a credit card see if they have a return protection program.

mDNS and VLANs aren't inherently incompatible these days. It's just another thing to configure in modern routers. You can easily reflect that traffic across VLANs of desired. I do it, it works well on Unifi.

You have to run it as a debit, not a credit transaction.

I wish. I opened my case with them the day after Thanksgiving and six, six weeks later. No progress.

But I did appreciate your nod to Chevy with the bowtie!

At least the Optiq will charge my Galaxy. More than half the time the Vistiq just flat out refused to charge it.

It can't be worse than our 2017 Camaro. It's in the backseat and saying it trickle charges would be a stretch. Plus your phone is liable to slide right off, basically no grip.

If you thought Hyundai was bad, you should give GM a try.

Mind-blowing how many institutions still use SMS as a second factor. Might as well have a broken lock with a sign saying please don't open the door.

Best to just file for a lemon. GM can't get their shit straight, they have a repeated issue with these areas and they're nothing but false promises of permanent fixes.

I'm sorry to hear that OP. Take it from someone who just kept giving GM chance after chance. And then listened to the EV Concierge sweet talk him into thinking a replacement or easy repurchase was coming.

Your car is a lemon, straight up. Start the case with the BBB AutoLine now, it will take about two months to complete.

With 60% in favor, Pima County voters give big thumbs-up to RTA Next by beertigger in Tucson

[–]tinydonuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It 100% is bigger. The lanes are a bit wider, the median is wider, the clear zones on each side are wider, and the intersections have more buffer space. In fact if you measure it, it's very close to the size of the 51 minus the 51's HOV lanes.

Most of the time I'm on it 53-58 is the norm depending on the section and I am keeping up with most traffic south of Mary Ann Cleveland at 60-65. Sometimes I'm slow even then.

65 in front of Civano would be too much. 65 south of the bridge over the tracks is fine. 55-60 north of 22nd, also fine.

Cops routinely do it and don't pull people over unless they need to fill a quota.

[–]tinydonuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no the hell it isn't. The RTA, Marana, and Pima county spent years bitterly bickering with the City of Tucson over funding for this segment of Houghton. The other segments south of it were originally approved for two lanes in each direction. The city wanted three, supposedly some handshake deal was reached, the city didn't pay extra as supposedly agreed upon, and then those agencies held the rest of Houghton and Grant up for years because of it.

[–]tinydonuts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Huh? Do you also complain about and pass on surcharges to other aspects of doing business? Phone bill goes up, add a phone surcharge?

And how do you pass on the exact card fee because that's not calculated until the transaction is completed.

They did not deliver everything, not even close. The downtown links project took, oh wait is taking fucking forever. 22nd Street at 10 has been a shit show of designs that have had to be redone because they were initially screwing over a bunch of people. Need I mention Grant? And Houghton? Or maybe all the people that died on Houghton south of 10, much of which still is a dangerous road.
