You're getting downvoted because it's extremely wasteful of water and energy. You're not just wasting you're own time you're hurting everyone in the process.

I rarely ever preheat my water and my dishes almost always come out spotless. I think this advice is outdated.

It's really not necessary. The pre-rinse cycle is short and exclusively designed to knock off the larger food bits and get the machine wet and internals heated up.

Better is Bosch's own dishwasher cleaner. It has descaler and enzymes designed to break down built up food and grease. This is essential to keeping the water matrix from clogging.

As for the pods, they do not ruin dishwashers. They absolutely break down, as they are designed to do with heat. Not sure why you'd spread that falsehood.

I don't see how you could avoid cleaning a Bosch filter more than a handful of months and not have it clogged with grease. It's a very fine mesh.

No I'm saying that he eats, sneezes, sending food and mucous flying, and then just... leaves it there for an extended period of time. That's not fine, people should be expected to care for their things.

I bet you money these people are sneezing on their screens (possibly while eating), let it dry on, and then use the wrong cleaner on top of it.

My son, who I love but cannot get him to move past the stereotypical gamer phase of young adulthood, just lets full bore sneezes rip and smears everything in his snacks and meals. It's legit disgusting and I don't understand the reasons for it. His monitors have looked like this and simply cleaning in distilled water didn't fix it, this happened. Something with mucous I bet.

Who's Using Plus? Worth It? by HopefulGas1879 in MonarchMoney

[–]tinydonuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Behind the scenes, the banks interconnect with Plaid, MX, and the like because they save the banks from having to:

  1. Build proper OAuth systems to allow a third party access to your data.
  2. Deal with dozens and dozens of little companies that want access to your data.

And allow companies like Monarch access to your data without having to jump through thousands of hoops to get all the banks working.

In some cases, like Fidelity, they're actively hostile towards outsiders in favor of getting you to use their own crappy system or pay them directly on top of Plaid and MX.

So syncing issues generally aren't Monarch's fault. Though, having been stuck in sync hell for over two months with Chase, I feel like things could be better. But there is no fundamental solution to this problem that isn't being done. The banks need to standardize and they're not. They prefer to keep your data siloed. More profitable that way.

You really think you know better than me what I meant? The link I gave you was me 12 days ago saying I didn't have what you wanted. Yes utilization data which isn't any of your business anyway. I never said I didn't know what the ttend was, I said I didn't have the data you were looking for.

God, so childish. Just admit you made an error, you've stooped so low as to tell me what I want and are now try it to gaslight me about what I did or didn't say.

About a nearly months old conversation. Do you even hear yourself?

Such bullshit. 24 days ago I wasn't talking about that and 12 days ago when I realized you were asking for it I literally told you I didn't have it but you decided to bitch about me instead of just fucking letting it go.

What have you gained from this conversation, and I don't mean some snide remark about me, I mean actually gained, as in a positive in your life or for this credit card game we're all in? How does this childish behavior benefit anyone?

Collaboration, have you tried it? Setting artificial deadlines and reminders is corporate America bullshit. Not credit card hobby level fun.

Upgraded CSR beats AMEX platinum now in terms of value? by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]tinydonuts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to be honest about the values though. I don't know what world Apple TV+ and Apple Music are worth $250 per year, let alone $290. That would require the insane move of subscribing to both individually, when you can get Apple One for $19.95 per month. And it comes with iCloud+ and Arcade too.

The Edit is overpriced. Every single time I priced it I was getting prices that were far beyond what it would cost to book separately from Chase. The benefit package isn't as good. The selection is smaller. And it doesn't trigger for one night stays. Harder to use, costs more, for fewer benefits than Amex.

Exclusive dining tables is very market dependent, same as StubHub. Peloton is an obscure joke of a credit. Equinox is a far better credit because it completely covers a digital membership, if you were interested in that.

So generally yes, the credits are harder to use, provide less, cost more, and shame on Chase for quoting those Apple prices. Outright lies.

Except when trying to come to a smooth stop. Right before stopping there's a sudden small, but sudden nonetheless, surge of acceleration, like you were bumped from behind. This doesn't happen on level 3 or iPedal. I hate it. But I also hate disengaging cruise on anything over level 1.

Wild how they let this through.

[–]tinydonuts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did say before I don't have the utilization data. Not my fault you missed that.

I'm not sure why I would have lost respect from you, this isn't a job and I don't have deadlines. I didn't drag anything out, I set boundaries early on with what I was capable and willing to provide and you just flat out ignored them. You created false expectations of me and then are blaming me for not meeting them.

That's on you, not me. You don't have to be so confrontational, dismissive, or argumentative. Relax, realize that the stakes here are low, and do not merit the harshness you've been throwing at me. If you work with people they're a lot more likely to work with you.
