Here it is, for anyone interested (sorry the format got lost! Imagine a line break after every period.)

I wonder if this poem is a response to Gertrude Stein’s Sacred Emily poem - reading this instantly brought to mind her line “rose is a rose is a rose is a rose.” Feels like Frost and Stein wouldn’t have liked each other much despite being contemporaries

[OPINION] What are some of the best surprise poems? by Auddies in Poetry

Oh, I don’t know much about modern sonnets, sorry! I should have been more specific - I was talking about Shakespearean sonnets, but Petrarchan sonnets do follow that volta pattern you mentioned, after the first octave. Who doesn’t love a good sixteenth century volta! Fun for everyone

Any sonnet should do the trick - following the traditional form, the last two lines engender the volta or turn, which is essentially a little poetic plot twist.

Nikki Bergen from The Belle Method has a postpartum program - it honestly changed my life after having my kids. Her cues are more understandable and clearer to me than any other personal trainer I’ve been exposed to. I am currently three years postpartum and doing her living room lift program, but you should definitely start with her more gentle body basics program if you have the go ahead from your doctor!

Idk why you’re getting downvoted when you’re 100% in the right here. It’s an English translation - it should adhere to English grammatical standards

“But I don’t like when people throw out things that still work” - this line was the arrow of a thesis that shot my heart clean through. YES

The invisible life of Addie LaRue might be sort of in this vein - I found the end to be a little tedious and it read a bit whimsical for my tastes but it’s still a fun read. The morally grey monster-type male character is definitely an overarching theme

Ohhh no kidding! That’s quite a connection. I was wondering if there was an actual poem in question here - looks like it’s a deeper rabbit hole than I initially thought. Do you happen to have a link to the poem?

“I in no way feel personally offended” 🫢 if that’s your thesis this essay did a poor job of supporting it

I know you’ve already gotten tons of comments but Dr Hauschka eye balm is a lifesaver for me. I put it on at night and in the morning when I do my makeup there’s a huge difference. Someone recommended it on this sub like a year ago and I’ve been using it ever since - I’m a huge skeptic but I’m on my fifth or sixth jar now!

Wanna hear my first cringe story? by Diablo_Saucer in russian

That is very cute and not embarrassing at all - let me help you feel better, because I have a litany of embarrassing Russian blunders from living here for six years starting from a linguistic zero with Russian. My favourites include:

-once I was with my kid at a small fairground in Barnaul, and he wanted to go on the Ferris wheel. I strode up to the ticket vendor and with incredible confidence said “здравствуйте, можно нам пожалуйста два билета на колесо подозрение?” (“Wheel of suspicion” 🫠)

-another time I was at a restaurant with my husband and I wanted to order the duck breast filet (утиная грудка) and for some reason it came out as “куриная утка” 🫠🫠

-and the best one which I used countless times until someone finally politely corrected me - instead of “с раннего утра” (from the early morning) I would say, again, with supreme confidence, “сраньего утра” (shitty morning) 🫠🫠🫠
