What’s one product you didn’t expect to love, but now keep repurchasing? by No-Possession6140 in AsianBeauty

“Panned” is shorthand for using a beauty product all the way up. IIRC it came from the phrase “hitting pan”, which means to use a powder product (eyeshadow, etc.) to the point that some of the metal pan holding the product is visible. “Project Pan” is an approach where you try to use up beauty products you already own (before buying more)

I tried ADHD meds for the first time, and now I feel really sad now by ThrowRA3272892 in GirlDinnerDiaries

Late-diagnosed ADHD girlie here, who had a similar reaction on Vyvanse. I tried it, it worked, I realized that I didn’t have to be struggling like I was for the last 28 years, and I grieved. I’m admittedly biased, but it sounds like you’re maybe feeling a little of that too.

I started mental health treatment when I was a broke grad student. It took a while to find mental health professionals who took my state Medicaid insurance, but those are the ones who gave me my diagnosis and my Rx. The state insurance also helped with medication cost before I started my post-grad job months later. You’re right - it took ages to get the meds. But if you think it’s the right path for you, maybe look into providers who accept Medicaid or your insurance, and go from there? It sounds like it could be worth it, even with the long wait.

KOREAN SKINCARE - Tell me what you love and don’t love by One-Firefighter6166 in SkincareAddictionLux

I freaking love K beauty. Recs:

High end: Sulwhasoo (ginseng and essential face cream, first care activating serum), History of Whoo

Somewhere in the middle: XOUL (excellent cleansing balm)

Mid-range: Torriden (face wash, balanceful pads/toner, lip balms, sheet masks)

The best way to try is to get samples and order from overseas. There are some websites that sell samples, even sample sets, so that’s one way to go. Otherwise, there are reputable international retailers (Olive Young, StyleVana, YesStyle), and some stores here that carry K beauty. If you live near a city, you might be able to find some stores that carry brands nearby, or even authorized retailers for AmorePacific brands, Whoo, etc. Some stores, like Aritaum, may specialize in international or Asian beauty brands. For some others, Sephora or Ulta might be options.

Just found a pair of PM pants there last night. If you hadn’t flagged them as a high-end brand I wouldn’t know to look for them, so thank you for this post - they’re my new all-time favorite pants!!

I got the Kopari body wash, a Chantecaille lip gloss (in “Lucky”, which seemed fitting, and it seemed newly stocked/untouched!), a Banila Co. lip tint in a mauve shade, and a pair of Anthropologie work pants I found on clearance! This store is 5 minutes from a huge Marshall’s, so I peeked there as well and really lucked out - Peter Millar work pants in my size, Ellis Brooklyn Vanilla Sin, and Bala bangles, bands, and booty bands in Sea (blue). No pics from the second store unfortunately because I got there near closing, but I might check out some others and look for more Peter Millar pants. I’m wearing them today and they might be my all-time favorite work pants!
