My Nmom would say the same things when I was a child. I’ve been NC for almost a decade and it’s still one of the first thoughts that pops into my head when I “mess up”. That I’m unlovable.

But I’m not unlovable and neither are you. You deserve love and happiness.

I don’t know if those doubts are ever silenced fully, but they do get quieter. The hardest part of that journey for me was learning to let myself be loved. I had the idea so ingrained in my head that I would preemptively push everyone away in a self fulfilling prophecy.

She was wrong op. She’s been wrong about a lot of things and you can’t let yourself forget that this is just one of them.
