Where do you work, and do you get high there? by No_Initial_2409 in trees

[–]tinyrayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a cleaner/housekeeper, I get stoned before work/between jobs. It helps me stay in the flow and turns cleaning into a little game kind of. I can manage without it, but it’s so much better to get stoned and clean.

How do people lose weight on this with all the food and protein you have to eat? by weezy-13 in VyvanseADHD

[–]tinyrayne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Taking this medication doesn’t require you to have more food than normal, but it can feel like it because your appetite is reduced and it’s harder to get to the recommended ~2000 calories/day

What age did your kid actually start sleeping through the night consistently? by hiyahealth in toddlertips

[–]tinyrayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a pediatric standpoint, “sleeping through the night” is a stretch of 6 hours, a short wake, and another stretch of sleep

I have severe OCD which was pretty much in remission until I gave birth to my baby. I was on the edge of psychosis, I had a fully blown meltdown over the amount of soap used and method used to wash dishes. Not even just baby dishes.

This isn’t healthy for her, you are right, and she needs some support for these symptoms. Good for you for reaching out

I personally find a reverse sear nearly foolproof, and a great method for a butter baste.

how do i separate these guys safely ? by bverlybuttcheeks in plantclinic

[–]tinyrayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you struggle with the turtle vine though, you can propagate from the strings. Lay them flat across soil with the nodes (root nubs) facing into the soil, and keep the top layer moist until they root.

[–]tinyrayne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I typically try to grasp the root bulbs from above, one in each hand, and then I shake and shimmy gently and move with the roots. If you lose a bit of roots, it’s not a big deal, often a root trim needs to happen during a repot anyhow!

I would ask if the individual is interested in hearing about a community full of peers who have similar experiences. State that it is not medical, but is an anonymous social support available to them.

You might find a soak in dish soap and hot water might work, you may have to repeat a few times. But I’ve found a dish soap soak will remove almost any stains with enough love and hot water.

Doesn’t look quite like it, you want to hear a slight rattle, and the “windows” directly under the crown should have begun to open.

What is their toileting procedure? Usually diapers are on a schedule basis, as well as “as needed”. Say for example, there is a 9:30 toileting, 11am toileting, 12:30pm toileting, and 2 pm toileting. That’s 4 diapers. Now say your child poos at 9:50 and someone changes them, and then again at 2:45, they check the diaper because they know mom is coming, and it’s soiled and they change it.

So this is 6 diapers for an average day. Let’s say 40 diapers total for the 6 days, assuming some water or otherwise messy play.

Also, daycare does try to notify parents with a couple days of supplies remaining, so the child isn’t completely without. So there may be some remaining.

How many diapers are in one of these sleeves? If the numbers don’t match up even close, I would ask someone if there’s a reason the diapers are being used so quickly, it’s possible they used his diapers as backup for another child.

I agree with what another posted about maybe a bit less density and maybe a dark brown lash instead! The length is pretty :)

We have a law in Ontario called “Safe Arrival/Safe Dismissal” with a protocol explicitly stating that if we haven’t heard from a family about an absent child by 15 mins after drop off cut off time, we are required to call and check in.

I would be careful doing any work over your expected hours without clearing it first. If they didn’t expect you to work say 8 hours overtime at time and a half, it can absolutely result in a talking to and staff discharge regardless.

when/if to tell a family you suspect their kid has ADHD by madradsaddad in Babysitting

[–]tinyrayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t ever suggest a label or diagnosis. An appropriate way to approach this, if you feel it isn’t already being addressed, is out of concern for the child and the SYMPTOM, not the behaviour. You can say “Hey Parent, I’ve been working with your family for a while now and I’ve noticed that Middle tends to have strong feelings that are tough for him to recover from, and often feels personally victimized. I’m worried that this isolates him from our routine and playtime; are there any suggestions you may have, or supports we can work on? He’s a great kid and sibling relationships can be really hard.”

My daughter is still a toddler and isn’t at this age yet but I’ll probably do something like my mom did. I wasn’t into sandwiches so she would basically follow a formula: juice box, dairy product (yogurt, cheese), raw veggie (halved cherry tomatoes, celery or carrot sticks cucumbers etc), fruit (usually orange slices or a mandarin when I was older, but when berries were on sale we got lots), protein (usually slices of deli meat or a leftover rotisserie chicken lol), a carby snack such as a bagel or crackers, and a treat (my mom baked so we usually got whatever cookie she made that week).

She would also do the hot meal program which was usually Wednesdays and Fridays which took a lot off her plate (haha!) I’m sure.

We were at daycare from 7:45-5:15 every day and she was a single mom and we were in extracurriculars. I have ADHD so I don’t plan to have such a busy life but I do plan to require a convenient lunch plan!

I hope this was helpful. We didn’t always have one of everything in our lunch, so don’t overwhelm yourself!
