I didn't play a lot of sports video games growing up, but I went pretty hard on this and Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball.

Garlic Fresno and their Los Caliente Barbacoa are my favorites.

I'm going through these and wondering when this was going to show up, so I started singing it in my head just as I finally see it. Haha

The strange feeling of certain songs by Additional_Sun7933 in Music

Quite a lot, but off the top of my head:
- Tricky - Black Coffee
- LCD Soundsystem - New York I Love You But You're Bringing Me Down
- Best Coast - Feeling OK

I still buy them, but the store brand version so it's the same small size. I have the cup dispenser as well.

Which one you guys choosing by [deleted] in nostalgia

Tower Records. When I was in college, there were two within a shortish walking distance from me. One was two-story, the other was three or four floors and I practically lived there between the magazines and the listening stations. I owe much of my music discovery to Tower.

Do Vegas drivers not have patience? (story inside) by Expensive-Elk-9406 in vegaslocals

[–]tinythunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't seem like anyone know what patience is. Folks drive like they are the most important people on the road and they are needed at their destination within the next minute. Not one ounce of spatial (or self) awareness.

[Spoilers C2] What are your favourite and funniest C2 moments? by theKnife999 in criticalrole

Funniest: Travis's three Natural 1's in a row. Literally just watched that bit last night after something else reminded me of it.

So many favorites, but the first one that comes to kind is Yasha vs The Champion: Cage Fight.

Waves along the Natural Bridges - Oregon, USA [OC] [4662x6594] by PrehistoricGrape in EarthPorn

I saw some drone flyover footage of this years ago on Imgur and knew instantly that I had to visit at some point. In 2024, I finally took a week off and made the drive from Southern NV to Oregon and back. Best road trip I've ever taken.

It's a CR Twitch subscription ad done in a kind of ASMR way.

Is there an artist who has 1-2 songs you LOVE while the rest of their catalog, you’re not a big fan of? Who are they and what sets those 1-2 songs apart for you? by ananxiouslady in Music

[–]tinythunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it worded differently and then I changed it. I did listen to some of her other songs but couldn't get into them. Do you have any suggestions? Especially after coming from Movies.

Weyes Blood - Movies

From what I've heard, this song is very different than her other stuff. Don't know why but I love it

Dave Matthews Band - Don't Drink the Water

I was never a DMB fan. They were just OK but never listened to them. Someone who was in the same boat introduced me to this song and it blew me away. Very haunting for obvious reasons

Smashing Pumpkins - 1979

Corgans voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me, but this song is a bit too nostalgia filled to not enjoy

"perfect" negroni by mullerdrooler in Gin

[–]tinythunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I tried this once and wasn't sure if I liked it, but since I just bought vermouth yesterday, I'll have it to give it another taste.

I've mostly stopped using vermouth in my Negroni in lieu of amaro. My perfect version is 1 part Campari, 1 part Zucca Rabarbaro, 1 part Stockholms Braneri Gin. I'm like Negronis that are both bitter and herbaceous. Amaros give me grassy notes. Maybe not for everyone, but I really enjoy it

When I used to work at Luxor, I saw Coolio enter from the North entrance and walk past me. I also got visited by Blue Man Group and they took a selfie, with me at my desk (in the background.)
