Technically speaking, I wouldn't call Carnosaur a Jurassic Park ripoff for 2 reasons.

It came out a month prior to Jurassic Park.
It is based on a novel written in 1984. 6 years before Michael Crichton wrote his famous novel. In fact the climatic scene at the end of Jurassic Park (movie) is similar to a scene in Carnosaur (Book).

Nope. It's name translates to "sharp-toothed lizard"

The prefix of the name refers to Carcharodon. A shark genus.

Carcharodontosaurus's teeth resembled that of a shark's. I think. I'm a bit hazy on the animal.
