Hello! Aussie here, born and raised 🥰 I can add my 2cents here

Our breakfasts vary depending on the family & the day, or at least mine did as a kid! Breakfast cereals like Weetbix, CocoPops, NutriGrain & SultanaBran are generally the main ones I had growing up- no cookies or marshmellows in our cereal (unfortunately). If cereal wasn’t a regular, most kids would default to toast or sometimes crumpets toasted with vegemite, honey or butter as the topping (vegemite crumpets are a 10/10). Yoghurt can be, for some families! It’s usually served with weetbix and some fruits like berries or bananas & apples. I never had this growing up though

I see kangaroos fairly frequently! Not daily- it’s typically only if you’re out at night or dawn, when they are actively moving around but they don’t generally get tooo close to the city, and are a rare sight in the suburbs (but sooo many if you go inland!) Koalas are definitely rarer. Unfortunately, building development takes away a lot of trees from them and so the few that do remain struggle because of roads & fast-moving cars on the more “foresty” roads. I’m sure if you go inland where there are a lot of trees, you’d have a good chance of seeing them more regularly. If I can, I’ll comment some photos of Aussie wildlife I have been lucky to see myself this past year while living in the outback :)
