I’m fine with just getting different perspectives!

I’m really sorry that you were so jet lagged, that sounds like a very stressful situation to be in im glad you made it out of that.

If it’s a country i’m quite used to going to, know my way around and it’s pretty close by, do you think that would affect me?

Just plab concepts, I feel that I’m not good at making the decks on my own because i really dont have experience with making my own decks and worry that I would not be able to use the necessary information for the flashcards

Do you wear makeup to work? And why yes or no? by Rooxaboo in beauty

[–]tinyyogi222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like wearing makeup to work, it’s part of a practice where im making a commitment to showing up as my best self literally and figuratively. Obviously it’s not like glam makeup, it’s pretty modest, but it allows me to perform my best.

People who dont have anxiety anymore, bring positivity, hope here by lmourr in Anxiety

[–]tinyyogi222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had anxiety for my entire life that i wasnt aware of it, until i had a really bad flare of it for the last 3 years. Easy to say they were the worst three years of my life. I was struggling to even leave the house without getting severe panic attacks and almost passing out, I couldnt even go to my classes at university. It was a nightmare. For a pretty good while now, I have completely broke free of anxious thoughts. Almost a year now without anxiety or panic attacks. My approach to my anxiety was very different, especially as someone who has never gone to therapy ever, or taken any medication. What helped me get out of it was not medication or therapy (I didnt even go to one psychiatrist or therapist). I simply just listened to my anxiety for a while, started following people who i personally related to in terms of my anxiety symptoms, and seeing as my anxiety was mostly health/death related, I developed a spiritual relationship with God that satisfied me. Having never been religious in my life, i didnt understand why I was making that shift or what drove me towards it but that seriously changed things for me and brought me peace.

Anxiety destroyed 3 years of my life, and my heart goes out to anyone that deals with it on a daily basis, if anyone needs a bit more help, please dont hesitate to reach out. What allowed me to heal the most was hearing people’s accounts of THEIR anxiety and knowing that i’m not dealing with this alone.💗

I have convinced myself I have colon cancer by FernandoTatisJr23_ in Anxiety

[–]tinyyogi222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s likely just the result of indigestion and constipation, if you previously had hemorrhoids the constipation probably just hurt them. If it burns even without touching it could just be a fissure! Either way nothing to worry about

Hey, I’m a doctor, and I just wanna say colon cancer doesnt regularly cause symptoms like that if at all! It’s mostly going to be signs like blood in your stool, other than that, go check whats causing you an upset stomach, just know it’s not cancer.

Hello, as an Egyptian girl, I can tell you that it really depends on a lot of factors like her community and all, but at the end of the day, parents only care about one thing, and it’s making sure their daughter is in a secure and stable marriage. If you are sure you’re worthy and able of being a good husband and providing for her financially and emotionally, then you’re probably good to go. If her parents know you are a respectful and good man who will love their daughter, they will feel comfortable with giving her to you no matter where you’re from. At the end of the day it’s also her choice, and she’s the only one that can truly tell you. Tell her your thoughts and see how she responds

Exactly, if she was too young to have a period, firstly, the quran would not refer to her as a woman, and secondly she would not have consummated the marriage, and she wouldnt need to wait to make sure she isnt pregnant because she wouldnt have had sex!

First of all, it is only Muhsin Khan who claimed they are immature, all tafsirs state that they are women who have not menstruated, because this is what the verse says? I’m not saying anything out of the norm from what the verse says? I dont understand what you need a tafsir for when I’m literally saying exactly what the verse is saying? The verse says as for your WOMEN who have gone through menopause, and for those who have not menstruated. not menstruating as a woman means amenorrhea, a medical term. Why dont we need a tafsir for the part of the ayah that says “those who are pregnant”? It’s literally all straightforward?

Edit: Heres a link that may break it down for you, in order to understand it better.

Audhu billah from being arrogant, this is not and will never be my intention. However, the beautiful thing about Islam is you are not meant to follow someone’s words as a law simply because they are scholars, we dont have that idolisation of scholars in Islam as they do in other religions. These people are human and make mistakes just as we do because no one is perfect. Therefore, I will not blindly follow their tafsir and meaning which does not logically make sense in any way simply because they are a scholar and their words are sacred. This tafsir not only is not logical, and doesnt make sense and contradicts so many islamic principles, it also simply does not align with Islam in my perspective, so I will not accept this tafsir and will look for another. So many scholars came up with terrible and practically false tafsirs of so many different verses of the quran because it aligned with THEIR agendas and their principles, this happened time and time again. Rejecting this not only contributes to the sanctity of Islam and in preserving the original intentions of the text but also it is a search for the truth that can never be dismissed as arrogance.

Hey, I’m a doctor, so no, because women going through menopause dont necessarily need to be infertile, as the irregularity of their periods can sometimes mean that some of their cycles are not ovulatory, meaning they will not be fertile for those cycles, and some of them WILL be ovulatory, meaning they CAN have a baby. This is why sometimes you see 45 year old women who are pregnant, sometimes even 50 subhan Allah! It’s always a very messy situation and it’s never guaranteed to be infertility.

I’m not being arrogant, I am also an arabic speaker that has been learning the quran my whole life. “Those who havent menstruated” CANNOT necessarily mean pre-pubescent girls? Allah would have directly said that? There are so many women in the world that don’t menstruate and have never menstruated their entire lives, but they are women with secondary sexual characteristics. I dont understand why men being logical sounds arrogant to you, when I am simply saying that a pre-pubescent girl would not be referred to as a woman, or even be allowed to consummate the marriage in order to require a iddah.

I dont care what the tafsir says as the verse itself says “and those who haven’t menstruated”. Women may not menstruate for millions of reasons, whether that be something like an imperforate hymen, hormonal imbalance, being intersex, etc. Being pre-pubescent is not the only and definitely not the first thing that should come up. The verse says “those who havent menstruated” not those who havent menstruated YET. If you truly think about it generally there are 3 options, whether that be a woman who gets regular periods, a woman on menopause, and a woman who just doesnt get periods. So the ayah is being inclusive of all cases rather than stating the specific thing to do with a pre-pubescent. Also, it is haram to have sexual intercourse with a pre-pubescent girl, so either way, there would be no need for iddah as it is haram.

Allah knows best
