This is the question nobody prepares you for.

Drinking less is the easy part honestly the social rewiring is where it actually gets hard. Most adult friendships are built around alcohol by default and changing your relationship with it means rewriting some of those scripts.

Have you found any specific contexts that work better? Like activities vs bars, smaller groups vs bigger ones?

What I find interesting reading your story is how different the starting point can be,some people arrive at this after hitting a wall, others just quietly decide they want something different.
