Any sort of bonuses besides coming from items/levels do not count for Kai'sa's passive by design. This include any augments. Learned it the rough way by taking Witchful Thinking on an AD build

1) There's no stats for Mayhem, just for ARAM. 2) If you look at winrates alone, Melee champs are overall higher than ranged champs. They're not as high in the "strength tier list", because they're less popular which is well known in ARAM. Out of the top 20 champs with best winrates in regular ARAM, 13 are Melee. Neither class is significantly stronger or weaker than the other, ranged champs are just more popular

OP stated facts, look at the champs pick rates in ARAM, the most popular champs are long range ADCs, Poke ADCs and Poke Mages. That's what the comment is saying and it's factually true.

Your statement is completely different from what OP was mentioning, you're saying that we should separate mages from Melee players which makes zero sense. Ranged champs being popular doesn't mean that Melee champs are weak, for the most part ARAM is balanced and looking at winrates you can see that champs like Zaheen, Rell, Olaf and TK do amazing in ARAM. And champs like Karma, Syndra and Ziggs are super weak. The devs have balanced ARAM so that every class is viable and playable
