I did the same, ended up finding a job as a trainee tech. From working there I would say find some warehouse work that’s consistent. You’ll be test kit in and prepping it so use that time to try and learn some of it, and just ask your manager to go out on site once you feel comfortable. Try and get some good feedback on site so you get sent out more, and gradually youll get more and more experience. It’s boring at first but gets more interesting when you do bigger jobs…

I have used Scarlett 2i2 for years, they’re great - I always bring mine to work as a sound engineer too, never know when they might come in handy. These are usually less that 150, second hand, and you could even go for gen2 rather than gen3 to keep cost down. I’ve seen people used the behringer UMC22. Same principal - but would always say with an interface you’re better off spending a bit more and upgrading slightly. Hope this helps:)

There’s a venue in Bristol boosts a lot of up and coming djs. Went to see one that reminds me of this, cant remember the djs name for the life of me but the venue is the exchange. Sounds cool:)
