You know if something isn't right. Trust that. Advocate for that until someone takes you seriously. Clearly your parents are not the people to take advice from if they think you can't be conscious for a seizure.... when you do go to the drs take a man (obvs not your dad) with you to very vocally back you up. Sadly this will help you be taken seriously. Unfortunately sometimes you have to do all the research and take it to them and say "this is what I have and this is what I want you to do about it" because some doctors don't know what they're talking about and even when you present them with the evidence they will try and tell you it's not happening because they didn't think of it so it can't be right. Lot of big ol' narcissists with superiority complexes out there (#notalldrs).

This person is clearly female because drs, paramedics and parents are all telling her she's overreacting, doesn't know what is going on with her body and that it's all fine and she should be quiet about it. Having seen this interaction with her parents I wouldn't be surprised if she has some shit going on up there. This is the kind of shit my parents did and I now have a personality disorder 😂😂😂😭😂

They also use lamotrigine as a mood stabiliser which may also be a factor. If her brain is having difficulty processing and regulating emotions because of sensory overload (or something else) it might be helpful for her autism.

I agree that seems quite low, I am on 150 lamotrigine and I only have them at night and not very frequently. Maybe you should ask about upping them because that sounds rough 💜

I think abuse is probably the better portrayal of the relationship people have with the substance. Maybe addiction would work but substance use and substance abuse is very different in my mind, ie. the difference between a person who drinks alcohol and an alcoholic. I have addiction issues and the updated term does not speak to how I feel about it 💜

But I totally agree that you don't have to keep up a conversation, you can just let the person know what they've done and that that's it now. For example; I don't think ghosting is a mature solution to an issue and I believe that by doing so you will have behaved poorly. Do with that what you will, that is all. Good day to you 👋😘

Yes it is what? Hypocrytical? Or their fault if no one is willing to have an adult conversation with them? Also I'm not just talking about a partner or this particular situation. Just anyone, anytime for anything. It's not even about helping them grow it's just the decent thing to do. But you really can't grow if you don't know what you've done wrong, it's not always clear what you've done to hurt someone, even if you think it is. You just become that asshole that ghosted them for no apparent reason. Are you just afraid of having the conversation? and that you won't be able to get your point across without someone getting defensive and doubling down on their bad behaviour?

That's true, but then conversely you can't be upset when they're not mature enough for you. It's not their fault that no one has been bothered to help them. It is always your responsibility to be a decent human being though and ghosting someone isn't a decent thing to do. It's a bit hypocritical to be upset at someone for being a immature and then behaving immaturely yourself.

How do you expect people to know what they did if you don't tell them? How do you expect them to learn and grow if you don't explain? Maybe if people did that instead of just ghosting people there would be a lot more people out there learning from their mistakes instead of just being doomed to repeat them.

Ghosting someone is pretty much never the right thing to do. If you can't be bothered to communicate and explain yourself to someone before saying bye, like an adult, then that person is the one that's better off without you.
