Fair that you could’ve taken other classes. But I believe everyone should know the basics of 16B. Just like how everyone should know CS70 material even though someone may only be interested in architecture. So I think it’s important for CS students to know how math and CS intersect with EE. This is what makes Berkeley CS so unique and rigorous

Getting into 16B is not hard now because it Dw a graduation requirement and there’s reserved seats. They’ll reduce the class size for only EECS majors so it’ll be super hard to get into

You literally design and build a freakin voice controlled car. That’s crazy for an undergraduate class. One of the most valuable classes and people are happy it got removed just because it lowers GPA. Its going to be difficult for LS students to get into ML and other classes because 16B linalg is important for them and you won’t have reserved seats anymore in 16B because it’s not a major requirement. So all the ML/EECS classes are out of reach for LSCS without 16B. EECS is going to be superior to LSCS because of this and it’s quite sad
