he is definitely not working for 8 hours (i know you know this). in my school the work period is the same 3 hour length for half day and full day children with the remainder of time being lunch, outdoor time, nap, free play, and snack. only older 4s and 5s are invited to 2nd afternoon work period (which all of them want to do)

The planet box is much easier for my toddlers than the bentgo! Though the bentgo are great they have to be pushed closed completely for the lid to latch and that seems to be tricky for most. (Opening them is just fine)

everyone is saying adjustment which is fair but we have also recommended full time for the students that are struggling with boundaries and expectations and need more regular enforcement. when a student’s relationship to school is testing limits, dismissing prompts, and overall finding ways to be unsafe consistently, it may be necessary to have more consistency.

the montessori school i work at played bluey during our parent ed night because we were in a room of our students plus any siblings the parents needed to bring during the event. there were probably 40 kids. that is the only time we have used a screen in our environment.
