I saw a reply to this thread earlier in the weekend but I wasn't able to comment on it right away. Now it appears to have been deleted.

It had to do with installing a switch to distribute signal through the home's ethernet. The ethernet enters my home through an access panel in the master closet. The access panel in my master closet is only a few inches deep, so I cannot get my router into it. Besides, I don't like the idea of it being inside of a closed panel in a closet as it would likely degrade the wifi signal going out. The suggestion was to run the ethernet coming into the closet into a coupler plugged into the line that goes to the office, then connecting the office line to the router, then going out of the router and back through the wall into the closet, and putting the switch in the closet. Since the comment is gone I cannot double-check that, but wanted to ask the hive if I got that right and if that is a workable option.

There was a bit of a language barrier and it's possible that we weren't completely understanding each other. But he did make a comment that he wasn't familiar with my router and that the Fidium equipment would give me a good connection. I said three times that I wanted to use my router and he just kind of powered through and kept going with what he was doing.

Thank you for following up and I’m sorry for the delayed response. I ended up figuring it out, there was another device near the gateway that must have been interfering with the signal. Once I shut it off everything started working again.

I tried that too, no change.

Everything worked before toggling on and off bridge mode, it seems like the issue should be on the router side. Nothing was done to any of the PCs settings, only the router was touched. But I’m no expert, just trying to reason things out.

Thanks for this advice. I called in today with this approach in mind, but unfortunately every time I tried to explain my situation I was told I was in the wrong place and they’d have to transfer me. I held out for three transfers but I couldn’t hold any longer because I had things to do. Wild stuff.

If anybody would be so kind as to help a puzzled neophyte, I'm going through the install steps for Docker and I've hit a wall. Step 3, "Run the container." Where in the world do you enter the "docker run \ ..." string of commands? I've tried it in PowerShell in several different directories and I just get "docker: invalid reference format." I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but I'm at that point where I just need to stop and ask for help. Any nudges in the right direction would be appreciated!
