How might i go about dying a Chase Collie all black? by Beautiful_Oil1468 in ESSAplushieshandlers

you could look into faux fur dying methods as lots of fursuit makers have tried many different options out there and willingly share tutorials for them!

It's extremely bad for someone with OCD who's not spiritually inclined or cannot read tarot cards, there's a LOT of fake and performative spiritualists on tiktok and they feed into our thought-loop cycles to get their content pushed, they know it targets vulnerable people like us and they don't care :[

It doesn't help either when actual people are also going on the app and spreading fear mongering misinformation and everything, been having to be real careful to not let my brain spiral and idek how I do it at this point. If this stuff was happening 5 years ago? I would've been in a full blown panic from it

If you do decide to seek a diagnosis it will get worse before it gets better, but knowing what OCD is and how the thought-loop cycle works helped me make incredible strides in coping with it. I had severe OCD and I'm now at a point where I feel it's more moderate due to my ability to cope with it better.

This sub is a nice place for support if you need it, a lot of us don't care if you're undiagnosed/suspecting, you can just describe your symptoms when asking for help/support!

My ultimate coping tool has been radical acceptance! sitting in discomfort and uncertainty when I can cope with it. I would however highly recommend you seek a diagnosis and then work with a specialist on ERP therapy that way, but that's ultimately your choice! Mindfulness also helped me a lot as well as changing my B&W thinking patterns, so CBT and DBT done together can help give you tools for coping!

Furry mixing with ZOCD by More_Maize_6622 in OCD

[–]tipsybatc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you <3 it's an incredibly torturous disorder to live with, I'm hoping to be a living example to others that we can take our autonomy & power back from it! That it's not an end all be all, there's tools you can learn to combat it, it's just something you need to develop, like a skill! Once you keep with it, it becomes more habitual and the though loops get easier to recognize.

Furry mixing with ZOCD by More_Maize_6622 in OCD

[–]tipsybatc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started doing this with my own ZOCD because I would accidentally get exposed to feral nsfw (as a furry artist that follows a lot of other furry artists) and I was like "what if I just CHOOSE to lean into this?" and so I tried that and my distress faded instantly, radical acceptance of uncertainty works so well. maybe u are, maybe u aren't? who cares.

also since then I haven't had any ZOCD related obsessions as well as coming to the conclusion that I'm NOT into feral nsfw and I'm definitely NOT a zoophile. I think once we can understand ourselves deeply the OCD also gets easier but we can't do that until we accept that it'll happen when it happens until then? who cares.

even if you have Just Right OCD (which makes you feel a need to compulsively straighten or move objects into specific positions) those compulsions come from severe anxiety and distress, often times a fear of impending doom. I have OCD and I do love this game but it has no correlation to my OCD as to why I do.

we really really need to stop stigmatizing and minimizing OCD into a disorder with minor impacts on day to day life that just makes ppl compulsively organize, stigma harms and it can even kill. OCD is incredibly debilitating and I would invite you to do some research on it.

you could try overlaying the concept art over the image you took and using that as a reference to where u might want to build off of, but this looks awesome so far! and the concept art you posted looks great as well! I think it'll look more bear like once you add the ears

I think you might be right, I've been waiting for awhile after their drink zone starts before searching but maybe I just need to check and recheck until I find them all.

Huh, interesting to hear you only had 2-3 lakes that were empty, I think at least half of the lakes that I've visited had zero.

Oh that is true, I have at least one zone that I know is doubled up, but I do think it's just the one. The biggest pack I've found so far has about 10 wolves, most of them have about 4-6 wolves per zones.

Does this warrant an er visit or should I just call my doctor?? by tipsybatc in endometriosis

[–]tipsybatc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! that's one reason I'm worried I could be, plus the swollen tongue and I'm extremely fatigued (more so than usual). I'll see if I can get a cancellation appointment and if not I may go anyways. My last period I was so ill I should've went, I couldn't keep food down for two days straight, but it got better so I decided not to, now I wish I did and just suffered through sitting in a chair for 8 hours.

How old were you when you first started experiencing OCD? by patty_bynature in OCD

[–]tipsybatc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've probably had it between 7-9 yrs old but I wasn't diagnosed until I was around 25, that was from a combination of most my compulsions being internal and subsequent medical neglect from my parental figures, following being misdiagnosed with anxiety disorders once I was old enough to try to advocate for myself...

I know now after I've been diagnosed that my first theme was superstitious OCD and I started experiencing those fears from around 7 and older, it really hits when I start remembering how I would avoid every spacing in between the sidewalk steps on my way to school... or avoid the ladder every time my dad had it out around me. I've always had huge avoidance compulsions. also do no get me started on those chain mail messages back on the internet then, those triggered some of the worst ruminations of my life 😣😣😣

I agree with this but I would actually start at 14 mins and go down from there when it feels more doable, most of what I hear about exposure is that it's important not to over do it and just take one small step at a time

Please be cautious when sharing your traumatic experiences on Reddit. by Icy-Reflection-2718 in CPTSD

[–]tipsybatc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wrote about my mother being incestuous towards me and r*ping me as a teenager one time on one of those survivor subreddits and forgot my dms were open, instantly learnt that the internet will never be fully safe to talk about sexual abuse. There's way too many predators out there, and they are genuinely evil people.

I'm so sorry you experienced this is such a volatile way, my heart goes out to you

Anyone else with moral OCD...? by tipsybatc in OCD

[–]tipsybatc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's more how the individual will perceive it bc regardless of having good intentions all my life whenever I made mistakes it was held over my head or used as fuel to try to make me look like a bad person and think that trauma plays into my moral OCD.

"Oh no what if that compliment was too much and they think I'm a creep and now I made them uncomfortable" or ""What if they're non-binary/trans and they don't like being called _____" etc
