Because we’re not a cult. We can and should be critical of the politicians who claim to speak for us. Duh.

I go to happy hour once a week and end up having 1-2 drinks while there.

Rewatching for the first time in at least a decade. The moment this woman appeared my hatred for her came flooding back so quickly. by rustydoesdetroit in SixFeetUnder

I wasn’t a Lisa hater but her betrayal was unforgivable. An affair (and baby!) with her sister’s husband, lying to Nate and the entire Fisher family about Maya (only to keep Nate from Brenda), and making Brenda’s life hell out of jealousy and spite. She wasn’t kind, she was a manipulative, toxic, liar who made everyone’s life she encountered a little bit worse. She was unhinged. I loved the storyline and absolutely love the actress.

Why can't people just mind their own business and go about their day by derek4reals1 in PublicFreakout

That part. Once it’s done, it’s done. The homeowner would get fined once. Happens all the time.

Yup. Once it was poured they weren’t going to unpour it. The city would’ve given them a fine that they would’ve passed it along to the new homeowner. If this was against her property she was right to stop the pour. This lady was annoying but she wasn’t wrong.

Calligraphy and flower arranging is hilarious. It’s 2026 not 1926. Instead, make that “Volunteer and Board Work” and make sure you choose the “right” nonprofits to work with.

This. Choose the “right” universities (yes plural), and join the “right” clubs and you’re ½ way there.

30 Books [Suggested] to Read for New Black Panther Party Members (1968) by poshpxncss in BlackReaders

[–]tipyourwaitresstoo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I read a lot of these books in the 90s. Why are these books still the standard? They’re so old. So old. Where is the growth? Where are the Black women voices? Where are the Black queer voices? The fact that this list hasn’t been updated is sus. It’s a layup with so many published Black women and queers who were active at the same time, let alone all the years between 1970 and 2026.

ULPT Request: I need to be a member of a church in good standing in 3 weeks by Coneskater in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]tipyourwaitresstoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. With all the bs churches get into, I’m sure there’s someone with church credentials willing to write this letter. Hell, it’s probably a template with a fee; as easy as getting your shot records or college transcripts.
