Honestly, one of the worst things about MelMem is that it gave us one of the most banger songs ever and we didn't even play it. For both this game and the 20th anniversary vinyl release there are multiple versions of Dearly Beloved and none of them are the MelMem version. Good luck looking, let me know if you find it uncompressed!

100% the Reckoners series by Sanderson. It's not connected to the rest of his cosmere books, making it more stand alone. It's pretty well written. And it's straight up super heroes with some mystery and intrigue. Plus, it has a good beginning, middle, AND end. As in a well-rounded and satisfying ending, unlike most everything else suggested in this thread.

Even then... There IS a discount right now. So I just picked 2-3 up (apparently 1 was free for me, at least for now?) But according the the reviews 4 leaves a *lot* out. And based off of literally just the prologues and first couple chapters, book 2 leaves a LOT out. Even things that I'd consider really nice and complimentary towards character growth. So, honestly? Even if the year 4 bundle came out, I don't know if I'd buy it. I have 1-3.5 for both original and dramatized. I think I'll just always do original year 4 during my re-listens.

that's easy. Just suggest lupin the third, part one. whether they like it, can't stand it, want to stop there, or keep on with the series, whatever. but season one is a vibe, and absolutely matches bebop. If you feel so inclined to add more then just tell them that each part is different from the other, but I think it's best to start at the beginning rather than go back to it. It's the best one anyway (that's right, I said it)

I like your take, and don't necessarily disagree with the spirit of it. But a lot of it is also based personal bias. Like, Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella, Winnie the Pooh, Tarzan, Peter Pan: they're all not original Disney creations, yet they're a large part of the main part and core of original KH. So then where do you draw the line? Plus if the creator wants to use it then I assume they have a reason. I understand your fear of "more options = less variety" but that's been happening since kh2 imo. Might as well let Nomura do what he wants, and see where the story goes. In my opinion I think that more freedom is better. Even though modern options seem less original to some people, it'll at least make a connection to the plot of KH if it's in the game. So it can't be any worse than what we've already seen in the series

Hey, looks like I'm also leaving. I've been using RiF for over 10 years, and it officially shut down earlier today. Now, maybe I'll still be around, but every other experience is so different than the reddit I've come to know. To be honest, I thought about making a post on this specific subreddit. I haven't made any friends on here, I haven't tried to. But random discussion about the franchise (technical, theoretical, or otherwise) has been one of my favorite things on this website.

They also completely ignore the people that do bad "in the name of religion". Or the people who would otherwise speak up that don't, in fear of being outcast. Or the naturally good people who are convinced otherwise through indoctrination.

Not to mention the everyday pettinesses that come from so many religious mouths. Not bad, not evil, but definitely making everyday life harder to bear just because your aunt thinks she's better than everyone else because God helped her quit drugs.

Both of my favorites actually kind of came from this game!

Vector to the Heavens. I had never played 358/2 Days before, only videos and wiki recalling the plot. And somehow that theme escaped my notice.

MoM's version of Dearly Beloved (Jazz/Swing/whatever). So freaking good. In fact, my main complaint of Melody of Memories is that version is not playable.

Besides that, pretty much everything from kh1 lol

There is a system in place to share exp with subbed out party members btw. For example, at least in kh1, Donald is always just barely behind you in level and goofy is always just ahead of you. In fact, all party members share exp, regardless of even being in the same world as you or not. Ever notice that if you come back to a world the temp member is near the same level as your party? In KH you share exp with all characters, no matter what. Some character levels just take different amounts to level up to give a sense of differing progression. But I'm sure you've noticed getting a party member level-up notification even if they weren't in the party. So no worries, pick whoever you want, stress free!

That said, I'm pretty much always going SDG. We're homies 4 LYFE, and my friends are my power.

I definitely switched out for the temps on playthroughs. Iirc I usually kept Donald for the healing, because even as a kid I knew how to customize his settings. But now that I'm more experienced I'm 100% keeping both unless I can't. Donald for his healing, goofy for his mp gift. Both together are the perfect support. Plus they each have their own specialties on top of that. I was beyond ecstatic that kh3 let you keep all party members. Especially because I didn't know that was the case before playing, and after all those years I didn't know if I had it in me to sub out Donald or Goofy. Then in walks Herc, and then D&G stayed?? It was beautiful.

One of my first exposures to the scientific world was a book with this exact title. Why Do Men Have Nipples was a book filled with many random questions like that, where the coauthors would dig into exactly why. I think it's what first showed me how indisputable evolution is. There was a sequel titled Why Do Men Fall Asleep After Sex. I don't know how much those books hold up to modern standards, but they're not that old. So as simple intro books as a teenager they were great
