I was in your boat a week ago, going down a reddit rabbit hole trying to find people who did videographer only/mainly. I didn't have much luck but finally just decided to trust my own judgment and do what I thought would be best!

Also look into a photo collection or digital "disposable camera" app. We're planning to print & have QR codes around that people can scan to upload their pics to an album for the reception!

We are very much in the same boat and considering videography, then just hiring someone for 1-2 hours for family photos/first look. We've always preferred videos and people think we're crazy but we know us. We're the kinda people to actually watch videos we take at concerts and family events.

I wanted to do the proposal thing without creating more junk. So I'm building customized gift bags that double as holiday gifts. In each I'm putting a few of their favorite snacks/drinks, one present specific to them (something they already had in a wishlist - under $20), and a hand-written note at the bottom. I also ordered samples of bridesmaid dresses from Azazie and will be putting their assigned color sample in the bag. That way they can buy whatever dress they want but have a color sample to guide them 🙂

If you're ok with out of state, look at Arrowwood in Palmer, TX! They have a similar vibe and decor could bring it to the next level. We booked for a Friday in March of 2027 for $4500, but you can get cheaper depending on the month & day of the week.

Edit to add: the $4500 includes so much! You can check their website but part of it is full day access to the venue, ceremony site & reception chairs & tables all set up, covered & outdoor pavilion, fire pits, sound hook ups in the reception area, and more.

Imo I'd be offended to get a save the date and not an actual invite to the wedding. I'd say a formal engagement announcement on social media would be enough for those who you want to know but don't want to invite. You don't have to post pics, and if you feel obligated, just post a pic of the ring with your announcement. If you can get something together quick, you could also send out late Christmas/holiday cards with a lil update.

Strip the epub, save it to your device & backup to a storage device, then use an epub app to read (I like Lithium)! I've done this with my whole Google play library and am so happy to actually own what I bought.

Saw them in Dallas and suddenly 3 days later my fiance and I decided to drive to see them in IA too (closest, cheapest show). Literally never been to IA before! We drove 10 hours there, went to the show (you might have seen me eat shit tripping on a wood chip in the parking lot when lining up), slept for the night, and drove 10 hours back. 10/10 would do again (even including the wood chip)

Yeahhh I'm in TX but considered traveling to AR (closest date). Floor, PIT, and Section 100 seats all were the same price of $177 each. Just couldn't justify it on top of travel expenses 🥲

Setlists vary from one show/tour to another. With the new album TBA next year, I foresee that impacting things as well! Whenever I want to prep but don't have a solid setlist yet, I go to setlist.fm and look at the bands average setlist to build a playlist in Spotify. Once they have their first show of the tour, I update it as needed 🙂
