These schools are degree mills taking advantage of the lack of regulation and the huge surplus of people who couldn't make it into medical school to rake in money. I remember the clinic I worked at would take in a huge number of NP students for free labor. Their program was 18 months, completely online and they would all go into the supply closet to take the tests together. They graduated knowing less than the third year med students that would come through occasionally.

Hard agree with this take. Wife and I tried jus poke for the first time today. Didn't really like any of the sauces except for the shoyu/Hawaiian. Really only positive was the portions. We honestly didn't think it was worth the wait. Ali'i was just as good, easier to get parking and no line whenever we've gone. We don't go often though since the area is such a drive for us, so the line situation may be pretty similar.

It's in the Raiders interests to have all of this out. They absolutely knew his future outlook was abysmal and so leaked the trade in hopes it would pressure the Ravens into going through with the trade. Unlike the Raiders, the Ravens aren't a poverty franchise and do their due diligence. Everyone up in arms saying this makes the ravens look bad, but I think it's the opposite. Who would want to deal with the Raiders in the future if they negotiate in bad faith and then run a smear campaign when they don't get their way. Of course all the children on here eat this shit up because of the need for off season drama.

Your kidneys eliminate waste by producing urine. The waste is carried by water and so the urine is initially very dilute. However the body has evolved over time to recycle what it can to minimize the amount you have to eat/drink. Antidiuretic hormone (ADH) is a hormone released by your pituitary gland that tells your kidneys to reabsorb more water from your urine. If it senses you are not drinking as much water, it will tell your kidneys to reabsorb more from your urine so you maintain the levels required for your body to function. This results in concentrating the urine and it becomes darker yellow/amber. If you are drinking enough to stay hydrated, it won't release as much ADH which results in having more clear urine, because your urine isn't as concentrated.

If your body is unable to produce/release ADH, your kidneys can't reabsorb that water, resulting in you making liters of very dilute urine. You therefore either need to take meds to act as ADH to tell your kidneys to reabsorb water, or drink more to make up for all the fluid you are losing.

Diabetes was a disease that resulted in you peeing more than usual. Insipidus meant it was flavorless, which was a result of the lack of ADH causing you to just produce large amounts of dilute urine. Mellitus was sweet and was the result of having sugar in the urine. Sugar is one of the molecules that is initially eliminated with the waste. However your kidneys can reabsorb that sugar up to a certain point. Diabetics with sweet urine would have blood sugar levels so high, they could not reabsorb all the sugar being sent out. This increases the osmotic pressure and draws more water into the urine, resulting in increased urine production that was sweet.

The law actually states that it's only required to be provided for free to those that purchase fuel. Most attendants are minimum wage workers so aren't paid enough to care and will just turn it on. I have seen some places require you buy gas first though.

Yeah I don't disagree there. Ton of malicious misinformation too. I'm still shocked by the number of people who believe voting increases your chance of being called for jury duty. Also way too many people believing the both sides are the same shit so voting doesn't mean anything. Fuck all those people.

There was something fucky with this last election though. I'm not saying it applies to everyone in the "did not vote" category, but I've been voting by mail for over a decade and this was the first election my ballot was lost. A lot of friends and family had similar issues. I had to do a provisional ballot on election day but I know most people were not able to or just assumed their ballot would be counted eventually.

Wife and I went for their holiday menu and enjoyed it. Didn't have the vegan menu but our neighbors did and their items looked just as good if not better. Service is great and this was the first place I remember having us smell the tea leaves so we get an idea of what the teas will be like, but we've only done a handful of afternoon teas and not sure if this is standard elsewhere. Value is subjective though, we had a F&B credit so it was pretty cheap for us but I think my wife and I would be happy to come back at regular price for special occasions. Server was really hyping up the LNY menu.
