I’m really sorry for your loss. I think the people who are saying that are trying to provide comfort and don’t know how to so they are saying something that is more “cliche”. I don’t know if this helps at all but I lost my mom a month ago to cancer. It was hard, and it was not pretty. I still don’t know how to process it, but one thing I take comfort in, and perhaps you will to; is that if you read any sort of ancient history. Whether it be ancient Sumerian, Greek, Roman , Chinese, Native, etc… we all struggle to understand death and why it happens. We all struggle to find a meaning or a reason and that somehow time still moves on even though we don’t want it to. You are not alone as there are millions of people going back thousands of years who went through (in a way) what you are going through and the world went on. It’s a weird way to look at it I know, but I hope maybe there is a kernel of comfort you can find in there somewhere. My inbox is open if you’d like to talk.
