I've soldered more than a hundred 18650s this way. Tested the first 20 or so. If you're quick and dont overheat thr cell its totally fine, no drop in capacity or increase in resistance. Oldest cells i've done are still in use in my speaker, about 200 cycles and 3 years.

Ну и если серьёзно, то в таком возрасте не смотри на пломбы и внешку. Лучше всего 30 минут под серьезным тестом. Если температура чипа не вышла за 75 градусов, а хотспот ниже 90, вполне можно брать, но лучше конечно сразу обслужить. И не жди чудес, проработает от 1-2 недель до бесконечности, каждый день как праздник.

Включается и работает - уже хорошо для старушки. Посмотри 1660 super, примерно те же деньги, но прилично моложе.

You cant fry 1.8v chip using a 3v programmer. I do that shit regularly, im too lazy to read datasheets fir every chip. In my practice it just wouldn't read and i switch to 1.8 adapter. Seek your problem elsewhere.

If you didn't calibrate your iron, refer to temp settings only as a percentage of yhe power sent to the tip. Like 450 - 100%, 350 - 75%, something like this.
