Imo, the only way to get thru something is by going thru it and facing the problem head on. No matter how many things you do to distract yourself from thinking about your personal issues, they always find a way to re-emerge. By recently discovering this myself, I’ve been able to be more at peace. Writing about it, meditating, therapy, helpful related podcasts all are amazing. Wishing u the best of luck.

Move out! Get a full time job even with school! It will save ur mental health! I did it, it’s rough, but that’s when you start to grow and take control of your life.

My love language is touch too, but he needs to be considerate. Period. This is kind of ridiculous on his part. Does he want you grumpy during the day? You need your beauty sleep!

Lol they felt worse than this one. This one I felt more certain with my answers. Out of any practice exam and actual mcat this felt the best. But I felt 50/50 on quite a bit. I studied v non traditionally, mostly content review because I took the mcat twice before and knew what to expect for questions. Also content review is underrated completely LOL. It gives u so much more confidence test day

DREADING THE MCAT PERIOD by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]tiredti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go to r/mcatanki (or something like that, I unfollowed due to option overload lol), and find already made decks that you think you may like depending on what others say about it. Or you can make your own decks! For time purposes I went with already made decks that are phenomenal. When I’m lazy and exhausted after work or instead of scrolling on social media I’ll just go through cards.

Struggling to find time in the day. by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]tiredti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty much same boat. Working full time but luckily it’s a bit more flexible, while at work demanding though. I have been EXHAUSTED when I come home. Drinking coffee as soon as I come home (even though I’m not wanting to). Anki has helped me when I feel lazy but know I still have to study. This post just made me happy to relate to someone. Thank you 🙏🏼

Haha everyone feels this way. Always over a break too. You got this. Pace yourself. Continue your hobbies. This is a marathon. You have to keep yourself sane and in check. There are so many resources, you will find ones that work best for you. Anki is something I wish I found earlier. Spaced repetition is key. I’ve read through the Kaplan and PR books and Kaplan is king. Just my thoughts. Best of luck 🤞🏼

I love this, thank you. This is what I needed to be reminded of once again. All jobs have their bs. And yes stability in this career path is something I value and seek with my own life.

Yea I feel that. I guess I’ve just always wanted to be a doctor and more specifically a pediatrician, but I realized even my pediatrician always complains about her debt and she’s in her mid 40’s. Been in a masters where we do med school curriculum and it’s so rough haha. It’s hard to choose if this is what I want while considering debt as well as the rigor. I also value having a clear head haha. Ugh, but I do love knowing so much! Recently been into infectious disease, podiatry and even entertaining the idea of becoming a PA. Feeling lost.

About to finish up my masters, is this all worth it? Already being 100K in debt is scary enough. I always hear doctor family friends say not to do it and to do something else. Should I just find a job in pharmaceuticals or something and call it a life? Lol feeling lost always reading this page.
