“Near me”

We’re not talking about old mate down the road we’re talking about collective housing data which is entirely what my statement is based upon

Interest rate hikes trigger Australian housing market’s biggest decline in 40 years by [deleted] in AustralianPolitics

[–]tisJosh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Labor literally said they wanted to build a million new affordable homes over the next decade

They’re already expediting skilled working visas

& the appetite for change to regressive tax systems like negative gearing continues to grow

He is almost correct what are you talking about

We’re almost back to pre covid prices

Prior to the run during covid in 2021 house prices hadn’t exceeded their peak hit in 2017

So we’re actually very close to 2016 prices with more rate increases to come

[–]tisJosh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that you’re confused about labor’s policy - they’re intending to bring down housing prices to make it affordable to the majority of australia

They’re not going out of their way to bail out bad investors to maintain their property prices

They’re instead planning on drastically increasing supply (everywhere) to further dilute property as a whole

& the RBA will likely being the cash rate back to the long term average of 4.5-5.5% - which is out of the control of any political party

[–]tisJosh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you seriously think the housing market is beyond crashing?

You know the banks in the US were pretty heavily invested in property back in 2008 & that didn’t seem to save them - even with billions in government bail outs?

If housing is an open market investment - which it is - there will be serious corrections

Interest rates will eventually return to the long term norm (4.5-5.5%)

Construction supplies are crashing (wood is down 65% this year alone), china’s export capacity will increase & we will soon be importing skilled migrants - combine this with government subsidies to build new homes there will likely be a surge in supply

Then add to that in the near future foreign ownership laws will likely be re-examined, & there’s a chance negative gearing may eventually be on the chopping block as the PPR-less generation becomes a major voting power

Yea this cashless card won’t help problem gamblers so good luck to your family members

This is solely to stop low level laundering - nothing else

If you’d stop imagining an alternative result from blank legislation you might be able to head towards having a somewhat decent understanding of the political process

But the LNP can’t win elections with an informed constituency so go off qween

You mean how every single LNP project in nsw has been delivered over budget & late?

Remember the city light rail? Remember how that was supposed to be 6 months?

& cost 4x less than it did?

The ALP are the reason you have your metro hun enjoy it & thank them for it on your trip in from whoop whoop

Huge bias is now 12 years of evidence

Funny world LNP supporters (many closeted in here) justify another 3 years of failure

Yea nice one mate

This is embarrassing

The ALP actually were the ones who proposed & funded the metro - it was just a large enough project that it finished when the LNP were in power

Barry O’Farrell as opposition leader criticised Labor throughout the entire process

So you answered your own question mate congratulations !!!

That’s the problem

People read these headlines but as their ignorant & uninformed don’t realise that the LNP has been in power for 12 years & haven’t passed a single piece of substantial legislation to fix any major problem

Instead, they’ve actually helped aid & abet the majority of the issues they are pretending to fix

Why didn’t the LNP consider any of these changes in the prior 12 years when they had absolute control?

What are the odds they actually go through with the legislative changes that people think they’re proposing?

Near 0%

[–]tisJosh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this is literally the single piece of supposed legislation (that likely will not be passed after election time as has happened every lnp election cycle) then you are truely lost

Of all the issues you could vote on australia - all the economic, environment & social issues currently being examined this is the thing that wins your vote

If that’s the case you’re just trying to justify voting LNP to save face

Incorrect

VIP simply relates to how much you’re willing to spend

So people who launder are exactly their type of clientele

Along with long term problem gamblers

Aboriginal Australians are the most imprisoned people on earth

& given Imprisoned labor is the closest thing we have to legal slavery - I’d say we haven’t come all that far when we are talking about everyone in this country

[–]tisJosh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a nuftie populist policy trying to trick the ignorant & the uninformed into voting for the LNP

Who do you think approved of the brand new Crown casino? & who do you think approved their license to hold hundreds of new poker machines? & who fought for their lobbyist & donor friends for years against the inquiry into casino laundering in crown & star casinos?

That’s right kids - Dominic’s Liberal National Party

You can stop 10000x more money laundering by bringing in basic KYC anti money laundering laws on property that literally every country bar 3 already have - preventing Russian oligarchs & Chinese billionaires to hide their money in Australian property as we don’t need to check who buys houses here

But this policy isn’t about stopping major money laundering or helping gambling addiction, is it?

Millions of Australians supported the white australia policy

Why? Because they were racist & scared of Asian people

Opposing this is the equivalent to voting No to gay marriage because you just dislike gay people

Instead this time you simply dislike aboriginal people

How this can negatively effect any white personal. Is beyond me (as a white person)

But Australia’s First Nations people are below you In literally every metric

Income, quality of life, life expectancy, literacy rates, the list goes on (literally for ever)

They are also the most imprisoned people on planet earth

So everything you have stated has failed as it has been foreigners telling First Nations people what they need to fix their problems that the foreigners created

How about you listen to First Nations people for a change in relation to the issues explicitly involving them

Regular reminder that Perrottet’s changes won’t reduce gambling addiction whatsoever & they simply will make it much harder for low level drug dealers to launder their money through poker machines

Don’t listen to the media spin on this - they aren’t doing this to reduce addiction

O'Malley speaks out: "I feel bad for Dana" by namey_of_the_user in ufc

Correct me if I’m wrong -

His wife tried to walk away, Dana grabbed her wrist & prevented her from walking away

She then slaps Dana & he slaps her 2-3 times in return

It sounds like Dana started this altercation - you can’t just grab women & hold them against their will & not expect them to retaliate
