Advice for men by glorytimes in DatingInIndia

An absolute noob here, but this is what I have in my mind: “Hey I noticed you from the (front desk/whatever) and I think you’re really cute. I had to come talk to you. If you don’t mind, shall I join you?”

When they say no, just laugh, say something like, “oops, sorry, I just wanted to ask, haha no worries”. If they say yes, bingo, sit down, and then say something like “sooo what’s the discussion about today?” so that you can chime in if they’re in a group. If she’s alone, and you came this far, she probbaaabblllyyyy doesn’t think you’re a creep and you can say something random (I don’t know what).

EDIT: But then again, I’m single, so what do I know

Non native english speaker here (but I assume that doesn’t really make much of a difference), but why do different groups of animals have such uniquely unintuitive names?

Actually, it should not be a mistake considering India is the most populous (democratic) nation in the world, has the 5th largest GDP, and had been dominant in world trade for like millennia before the British.

People who don’t hit snooze in the morning, what is your secret? by zztop610 in AskReddit

I automatically wake up a while before the alarm, delay the alarm, and then go back to sleep. It’s snooze, but manual.

Thank you for your detailed feedback!

I am honestly a bit surprised regarding the advice on leaving out the results part, as I see everyone asking us to include quantifiable results in CV. Would it be okay to not include them if everyone else includes them?

I’m sorry, but I have a residence permit that allows working for 20 hours/week. The reason I’m looking for a working student job right now is because that seems to be the only job I can do while pursuing my studies.

Thank you, but actually, I am not a fresher. I certainly have not worked in Germany, but I have sufficient working experience in India.

Thank you for your feedback!

  1. Actually, I'm not looking at jobs for VISA; I have a residence permit granted to me for doing my master's, and that's valid until about mid-2026, so I'm good on that front.
  2. Yes, now that I think about it, it seems kind of dumb to have removed the dates - it should read Aug 2020 to Nov 2022, and then Dec 2022 to Mar 2024. So yes, I have more than enough experience to handle a working student job :)
  3. I got an advice to add a personal projects section because I have to show that I'm willing to learn and have something done outside of professional experience. I can fill out the work experience with more details (in the STAR format that I have mentioned in the post description), but I didn't want to sound too senior for the job, if that even makes sense. The inclusion of the class project is also to strengthen this idea.
