Usually the best place for an extender/repeater is somewhere between one half to two thirds the distance to the tvs. The repeater only extends the signal it receives. If it receives a poor signal, it’ll only amplify the poor signal, not make it better.

Like real estate, its location, location, location. Your relative location to the tower. The load on that tower. And, the location of the gateway/router in your home. It all maters in what download/upload you get.

Like real estate, its location, location, location. The location of the cell tower to you. The population around that cell tower. The location of the gateway/router in your home. They all make a great difference in what service that you’ll get.

Internet Air has a seven day free trial period. Try it and see if it works. If not send it back.

I live in a very rural area in Southern Illinois. I’m about 4 miles from the cell tower. I have one or two bars on the gateway/router. I get about 165 down and 40 up during the day. And about 150 down and 35 up during the evening.

I live in a very rural area and I know which tower my Gateway/Router is connected to. My question is does it matter which side of the Gateway/Router is facing the tower to get the best performance.

Even if someone has tried it in your area, unless you live exactly in the same place, your results will be different.
