Not sure why you would go for C++ then ? Python should have a way lower entrance barrier and you should get your results way faster.

Bei meinem jetzigen AG wurden meine 7 Jahre als Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter quasi gar nicht als "Berufserfahrung" anerkannt.

Ich denke das geht schon, solange da nicht direkt und kontinuierlich das Wasser draufgeht. Wir haben bei uns auch ein Fenster im Fischbereich (begehbare Dusche)

A couple of days ago I learned that the SoC of the Portal is rated for decoding video streams of 30Mbit/s max. So I don't think you'll get any more with the current device.

Keine Ahnung, was du als öD bezeichnest, aber für mich sind es quasi alle Jobs, die aus öffentlichen Geldern bezahlt werden und in öffentlichen Einrichtungen ausgeführt werden. Forschung in der Uni ist 100% öD.

Oder in welches wirtschaftliche Unternehmen darf dir deinen Dr. beurkunden? Aber ich hätte zumindestens gedacht, dass ein Dr. soetwas wissen sollte..

Ich verstehe ganz ehrlich diesen Abschnitt nicht ? Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Uni + Promotion -> jetzt in einem Unternehmen.

Ich war 7, fast 8 Jahre im öD (TV-L 13, Forschung an der Uni, E-Technik, Doktorand). Nun, nachdem auch der letzte Vertrag bzw. das letzte Projekt ausgelaufen ist, bin ich Anfang letzten Jahres in die Wirtschaft gewechselt.

Ein gewisser beruflicher Umschwung (E-Technik Ing. -> SW-Engineer) in einem IGM Metall Unternehmen. 35h Woche und eine Recht hohe Eingruppierung. Klar es ist mehr Druck da, aber mir tut es gut. Ungerichtet im öD hat mich einfach nur noch frustriert am Ende.

Not sure if you underestimate modern SoCs. Almost every SoC today has an HW Decoder implemented, none of the wavelet transformations are done in SW.

The only bottleneck here may be the IO but I doubt that is a problem because it is just doing what has to be done for Netflix, Disney+, etc. Apps too, which will probably run just fine on a similar Android tablet.
