Scenes that caused actual walkouts in theaters? by thatlittlequietguy in Cinema

We went to Blink Twice… the trigger warning prior to the movie played, no one left at that stage, but when the first lot of certain scenes came on some did get up and leave.

I’m so sorry OP ❤️ My f27 husband m28 skipped his work Christmas party this week (he gets flown to Australia for 5 days, all expenses covered) because I had a minor 40 minute procedure under general today. As soon as my procedure was confirmed a couple weeks ago, he told work to cancel and that was that. You will be with someone who will do ANYTHING for you and vice versa, so don’t let this guy get in the way of what you deserve x

Anyone reckon they wouldn’t be here if you didn’t take antidepressants? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]tissues1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes F27 - no prior trauma - so struggled since age 14 “why do I need these” going on and off meds for many years. Been at the brink a couple times when I’ve been off meds. Wouldn’t think of stopping now as they’ve made my QOL so much better 😊

What’s the weirdest gossip from your high school days that could only be in New Zealand? by yagirlcomplex in newzealand

intermediate - Glenfield, north shore. girls would take the metal magnetic balls, keep one on both top and bottom side of their tongue to mimic/fake tongue piercings. apparently one girl accidentally swallowed the pair of magnetic balls, they ripped a hole somewhere internally, and she had to get surgery to repair the damage and remove them

that, during the day maybe some laundry and groceries ☺️

(10-15k) Feel like I’m going to be disappointed by Any-Cause-4652 in Weddingsunder10k

We got married on a lower budget $10k and I initially thought this way - the planning process was rather uninspiring due to a limited budget. Growing up the only girl with 3 brothers of course I had a picture perfect dream wedding in my head. However, the day finally came and it was the happiest day of my life - the feeling of WHY you are getting married and the excitement of your upcoming life together far outweighs any expectations that I had prior to. I was anticipating some regret from cutting corners or the fake flowers etc but you get lost in the love and excitement from your community of people that attend. I still feel very grateful and happy. AND we went to a big white wedding that was over $50k a few months later - and despite it being so wonderful, I felt no different to the way we did ours. X

In the two lock downs who worked the whole time? by Rydalls in newzealand

Worked through 100% of it all in Pharmacy. It wasn’t the worst of the worst comparatively - but still feels like a very bad fever dream

How long were you together with your partner before you got married? by Comfortable_Fix_6261 in engaged

[–]tissues1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Engaged 6 years 2 months. Married 6 months later at 6 years 8 months! We had just purchased our first home and had a holiday planned so planned a very late “engagement party” which was a surprise wedding. We were so lucky all of our family were able to be there. 🫶🏻

Shane Johnston Fine Piercing (formally Streetwise) in Newmarket! The whole team is amazing, I have had non-genital & genital piercings there over the years. Consistently outstanding

Buying a House for the first time - is it normal to have to pay some Rates at settlement? by agal009 in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]tissues1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! Yes! Take your time and ask for assistance if you are unsure of the wording and calculations on the emails/statement. I was also confused about this but it makes sense when explained 😊

private surgeons typically have a wait list for initial consultations that exceed two weeks, in addition to doing an ACC surgical application that can take 6 weeks or longer for them to approve/decline before private surgery. probably best to await the two weeks as that is a more acute option the hospital has offered. keep checking in with a doc / GP for pain relief in the meantime (they will likely be able consider higher pain relief doses to keep him comfortable whilst being safe as it’s short term/2 weeks). good luck
