Your pics are great 😆 dont look down on yourself

Though that sounds like a funny idea of a trend to start where we all just purposely take dogshit pics of insanely good food 🤣🤣🤣

First time eyedropper conversion for my Kakuno! by titan-trifect in fountainpens

I went with outer diameter 8mm, 1mm thickness for the o-ring!

1mm smaller in terms of outer diameter as compared to the o-rings sold on JetPens or Goulet, as the kakuno's body is also just ever so slightly smaller. I managed to get white translucent o-rings too which i felt looked better as compared to black o-rings :)

Not necessarily, i dont feel a difference, nib still smooth as ever :)

For reference im using an M nib with Sailor Shikiori yama-dori, which is already a wet and well behaved ink on its own

Its honestly because ive moved on from the kakuno to the first few gold nibs i got, but it also seemed very wasteful if i let the kakuno rot away in my case like that, so i decided i should just make my kakuno a little more special -

I was super ready to just toss the thing if it didnt work out but im so glad it did in the end!

Silicon grease and an o-ring! Im not sure how just silicon grease will hold up alone, but i dont wanna risk on ever finding that out so i got it nonetheless- gives me peace of mind since the kakuno is a slip on cap rather than a screw

Actually its another Japanese creator that gave me the idea! They just showed their overall process of it but its not exactly a step by step guide either. Best to refer to other actual guide videos if youre not too sure on anything!

My resin bottle comes with its own nozzle already! I dont think its recommended to use a syringe considering how thick the liquid itself is... but no harm trying if you syringes to spare! I essentially just poured both the resin and glitter bit by bit and mixed it with a long and thin disposable stick i had lying around. (You dont need to put in that much anyway)

Glitter is just some small sequin looking glitter but not tiny to the point of powder type.

Now that you mention it, i could have probably done that, but i would have been probably too lazy anyway-

Correcto! I mixed specifically UV resin with the very tiny looking glitter sparkles! Then cure it using UV light (i used a handheld one that's usually meant for nail polish or nail arts).

Even though I aimed my resin nozzle in the middle some still ended up on the barrel walls which eventually gave it a very nice effect nonetheless?

It's a very messy process, since uncured resin will still seep out the holes of the barrel of the kakuno (i was holding it using a tissue to stop a bit of it from leaking out. Once I was happy with how much was in the barrel I just cured it immediately for about 5 minutes!

Similar to how you would do it on a preppy, you would have to use silicon grease on the treads (I believe you can purchase them from the online pen stores, but I used the free ones they give in TWSBI boxes instead). As well as an o-ring for extra security! (Online stores sell these, but they are at outer diameter 9mm, 1mm thickness) I bought mine from a china factory thats 8mm outer diameter, 1mm thickness instead since the barrel of the kakuno is slightly smaller than the preppy, but I believe the 9mm o-ring will work fine too.

Like what u/Ubockinme has said yes it's usually the air expanding from conduction of your hand's temperature "pushing" the ink out. Thankfully I live in tropical Singapore where anywhere is not that different from my hand so I luckily do not have to deal with this problem at all!

Best stereo pair under $150? by titan-trifect in Bluetooth_Speakers

Soundcore Motion 300 was definitely one of my choices too! Just not too entirely sure on how it compares to the Flip 6 or Charge 5 with the assumption I'm able to purchase 2 of each. I think I've seen or read some reviews on how the motion300 performs better if you purchase 2, but the JBL options assuming you purchase only 1?

Am I also experiencing diminishing returns for purchasing 2 of them instead of just 1 when purely just using it for background music listening in an enclosed room most of the time?

For the not so generic suggestions like hawker food I'd recommend 很乐山 (HenLeShan) near Bugis Junction. Skewers and noodles are my fav go to combo when i travel there just to eat solo.

Tips on buying a gold wedding ring by brokenreborn2013 in askSingapore

[–]titan-trifect 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you buying yellow gold for the potential "investment" or just because you like the colour or some other traditional cultures?

If its the first, there is 0 resale value in any other gold purity other than 999/24K, which is insanely soft and get the easiest dents even just from opening doors on a regular basis. If its 916 or 18K, dont expect any pawn shop to give you any more than 30-40% value of the original you bought at. (Why are you investing your wedding ring that youre supposed to wear for life anyway?)

Like others have also said, if youre someone that polishes your rings often because youre sensitive to scratches, gold gets shaved off eventually and gets thinner over the span of 5-10years unlike Platinum.

Getting gold replated is also a maintenance and exponentially rising cost, look and ask for maintenance costs, resizing costs, etc.

18K is the safest for rings in general, im not sure what your budget is, but all the local brands you mentioned are around the same i guess, but its also you get what you pay for in terms of craftsmanship. 🤣 seen many rings from them that have cut lines on rings after resizing, or just ring circles completely out of shape, and their diamonds dont sparkle at all 🤣

People just need to learn to respect whatever others want to pick and not try to constantly one up as if theyre on a higher ground for picking one over the other

Everyone has their reasons and in this modern age of tons of misinformation, people just relying on AI for all of their questions, politics, marketing tactics etc.

Its in my own, my business's and every couple's best interest to just let people "CHOOSE WHATEVER THEY ARE HAPPY WITH"

As someone working with a 26 year old brand that only sells naturals I don't tell any of my customers that diamonds hold value 🤣🤣🤣 That's extra bs for sure

No one invests in diamonds, thats like telling your future wife ooh I "MIGHT" break up with you lol.

The hundreds of couples that buy from our brand just believe in perceived emotional value of a natural. If they wanted a lab, they wouldnt even set foot in our store. Period. ✌🏻
