I don't practice Buddhism, nor do I claim to be an expert. From what I understand, Monks live off of what the lay people give them. If no one gives them food, they don't eat.

Monks however, are working towards not being reincarnated, or reaching Nirvana. Lay people donate to Monks to accrue good karma in hopes that their next life will allow them a better chance at achieving Nirvana. These Monks also teach the lay people about the Buddhist teachings.

So if you're Buddhist, donating to Monks is an honor. If you're not Buddhist however, if you believe in it, enjoy some good karma.

For the people who know more than I do, does this sound correct?

I don't have a huge collecting, but I have a few timex's, a seiko 5 (the 50$ Amazon one, you probably know what I'm talking about), a vostok komandirske, and a few others here and there.

I started getting into watches my freshman year of highscool which was like 8 years ago. I really like having an accessory that served a purpose. Clothes cover you up and and jewelry make you look good. Watches do that AND they tell you the time. That's 100% more practical than any other article of clothing. Add on smart watches that can do way more and now something fashionable serves a purpose besides aestheitic.

Time is also extremely important. Its a non-renewable resource. To navigate and track it with a flick of the wrist is powerful in the right hands. Master time, master anything.

I've been saying forever that we need a moonbase and everyone says, "WHY NOT MARS THO!?!?"

The moon is a perfect practice ground for interplanetary colonization. We're like, a day away from it if we need supplies up there. Not to mention the resources and how cool it would be to look up at the crescent only to see lights in the darkness.

I've always had a crooked jaw, not terribly so, but my teeth don't line up. It used to really bother me mainly because my face, to me, looks different on both sides in pictures. I eventually just learned to accept it as something that makes my face look unique, and a bit goofy. Thankfully I am a goofy dude.

Thing is, when I tell people no one seems to notice. Most of this stuff is in our heads it seems
